    Cllr Maton

...and the senior council officers are the exact same executive class you find in the private sector, increasingly with the same bizarre obsession with revenue.

    Cllr Maton

The officers make the plans and the decisions in reality. The problem really is that the councillors will go with their advice as they don't know any better.

    Things that annoy you

My experience is that they use lower level administrative staff to do the work but charge as if it is a solicitor. They're robbing bastards, if I ever move again I'll do my own conveyancing

I will never accept that it is reasonable to ignore messages even if you're not in a position to respond properly. Just acknowledge it at least. We just live in a society where people are so wrapped up in themselves they don't think of others. Wankers.

Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020

TBH Medieval Spon Street does not work, if I was in charge and had all the cash. I'd be looking to lift Spon St again and recreate it elsewhere as well as demolishing the Sky Dome and Ikea. Then we'd have a large site fit for the new stadium which I'd name Spongate.

Only that was mine and that was an emotive reaction to conceding a goal. The rest of them are pretty much all Nick and cc84.

They are not errors, they are quite deliberate. This is John Stretton dressed as Mutton after all.

    Three Years Ago Today

Yes, his record was still patchy. We won games we'd expect to win but crumbled against any decent opposition.

Think it was a local fella that owned the land but with support from one of the big hotel groups, Marriott possibly can't recall. It's in one of the threads on here.

The answer to this is that Coventry City Council has zero interest in CCFC being anything other than tenants to Wasps, for that is what the deal with Wasps was reliant on. The sequence of events in 2014 may show that.

Meeting with Joy Seppala & Dave Boddy - Thursday 27th February 2020

The local plan thing is a misnomer, it doesn't go down to specifics like "We need to consider an application for a football stadium" I've just had a look at the council's local plan. It really is rather odd how the application for the hotel at Rowleys Green was rejected:

According to Wasps it's been submitted, must be using the same agent as the the one for the WCG site. They presented it at MIPIM the property show, it suggests to me there is no backer for it yet and they're hawking it around looking for one. If you were a backer how much confidence would you...

    Coronavirus

Difference between that flu has been long established and mutates, there is a vaccine too if not fully effective. Coronavirus is new, no vaccine, highly contagious and spreading. Old people and those with pre existing illness are not irrelevant.
