Yes, it's good that there wasn't another exponential increase. Flattening the curve might mean a lot of days like this.

Even that article is full of tory propaganda "Even despite Boris' pleas last night, the Tube is packed again".... "your grandmother survived the Blitz" Not a bit of analysis about why there is a shortage of beds, equipment and PPE unsurprisingly from a Tory rag.

Things to listen to in Lockdown

Saw them in 2008 at old Trafford cricket ground, I like them but only went as a mate suggested it. They were great. Superb back catalogue

Apart from the chaos earlier in the week at the supermarkets

Cheap shite. Where I live the local butchers and greengrocers deliver, only need the supermarket for milk and bread. Even the local brewery delivers

Stanley has invested probably 80+ years of his life at least in this club, it isn't just a game for a lot of us. Happy birthday to him.

I think the Spanish authorities have reacted strangely. GC is very very different from Madrid, rules that make sense there do much less where you are.

Yeah does seem a bit off as unless they've had an outcome for 100% of patients they can't report either way yet. That said, it really doesn't sound promising if you get to that stage. People develop ARDS which is approx 33% death rate anyway albeit linked to underlying health problems.

City's Biggest Transfer Disaster - Burn the Cash

He came out later and said that he'd just lost interest by then, he'd been in a serious motorbike accident and think he had PTSD or something. Shame as he was a good player earlier in his career.

City's Biggest Transfer Disaster - Burn the Cash

Under Atkinson and Strachan we signed numerous centre backs and they were all generally poor bar Breen: Shaw £1m Williams £750k (albeit signed as a defensive midfielder) Daish £1.5m Evtushok £800k I think Wallemne? Konjic £2m It's the biggest failing of that era, we had some good attacking...

City's Biggest Transfer Disaster - Burn the Cash

He scored more than that but yeah I was thinking about him, him and Daish signed on the same day and we got less than 2 seasons from the pair of them. Think between them they cost £3m

City's Biggest Transfer Disaster - Burn the Cash

He was the right player at the wrong time. 19 year old expected to live up to what Keane had done in an inferior team.

I do too, given they've already done a lot of work to try and increase bed capacity in the existing hospitals it is rather worrying the numbers being stated. Unless that's the point and it's the nudge theorists at work.

I think any big city is at risk hence planning for similar in Birmingham and London. They really should have closed London off and now the rest of the country will pay for them not having done so.

This time the very wealthy are going to have to take the hit, that's why I cringe seeing the chancellor propping up companies often owned by the various type of funds that just extract money from the real economy. Investing isn't risk free and they need to learn that lesson.

I know that this is the case but it is still pretty gutting to see that rise in the number of deaths. Birmingham looks grim, 366 cases there now, the most in the country whereas the London boroughs seem to have steadied a little bit.
