Literally couldn’t give a fuck about anything but Robins staying and having a squad at least as competitive as last season. Could be run by Hitler’s less tolerant nephew and charging corporate £1m a game for all I care.
Fuck with Robins and we riot.
Who said I’m doing that? I’m just saying it should be the preserve of someone who has proven themselves at the club. I think that’s a healthy ethos.
Do we sell Simms before his deal runs out then? Or break it again in 18 months time? You need to have some head room if your aim is to buy young...
Feels like Doug is holding out for more bids.
This was always the caveat to keeping him in Jan, we need a quick sale because of the amount of work we need to do on the squad.
I think a fair few from 23-25 would move over given the chance. It will be interesting to see if the idea of two blocks in opposite corners works for atmosphere. Or if one does most of the work and attracts those who want it.
I disagree. I think to be top earner you should have to show something beyond the rest of the squad and beyond what a new signing can prove.
I don’t think Simms is worth £20k/wk yet.
I can see Vik scuppering any move that isn’t Sporting in his current mood. Id definitely go for Simms as a replacement though. Good age and good stats.
This has him as mostly a RB/RWB and occasional LB/LWB with the odd cameo at CB.

Because we can’t offer him European football, a likely route to the big boys, and sunny Portuguese living.
And most importantly because we need a fat wedge of cash to rebuild our squad.
