It’s alright. A British tanker has just been overtaken in international waters and is currently on its way to Iran. Brand Boris will be able to amuse their release just like he has with Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe. What could possibly go wrong.

He looked uncomfortable the other day with the monster he’s been creating. I dare say that if he gets a second term he’ll prove not to be extreme enough for said monster and one of the nutters he’s been grooming will do it.

It was just a hake filled rant. I think all the attention has gone to Boris’ head and he’s developed a cod complex.

You forgot Afghanistan. Plus multiple skirmishes in Asia and North Africa since 1945. In fact there aren’t many years since 1945 when British forces hasn’t been involved in something on the world stage.

We’ve had to create the unexplained wealth order to deal with it the problem is so bad. First used in 2018 in an extremely high profile case. Suggesting that its a statement with zero basis in fact is what’s absurd.

Presumably your piss would boil then if someone described Muslim women as looking like letter boxes and bank robbers, or black people as piccaninnies with water melon smiles, or if they accused a black president of having a chip on their shoulder, or for suggesting that black people from another...

Very little of the Roman architecture still exists in most these places. Most of its Victorian when the fashion of spa’s returned. Most of Bath’s famous architecture was funded by what was going on down the road in Bristol.

Which only serves to prove that the victors get to write history. You give the impression that plundering other countries and dealing in the slave trade means there’s nothing to see here and that the wealth this country has been built on somehow magically appeared from somewhere else presumably...

Of course they did. No one is suggesting otherwise. No one did it as “well” as us though which is why the point is very pertinent to the conversation you’re doing you’re best to distract from. I was in Bristol (also happens to be one of my favourite cities in the country) for work yesterday...

So how common was the wealth of the commonwealth? Which populations benefited from the spices we took from their country after we invaded and took over? Or gold and other precious metals? Or diamonds and other precious stones? Or oil? Or sugar? Or rubber? etc etc. How much were the slaves paid...
