That's true, but those of us banging on about the keeper aren't saying get a replacement in at the cost of strengthening elsewhere, we're just saying it's a priority. But some are saying forget the keeper, spend the money elsewhere! It's short sighted. We can't bolster one area at the expense...

Weren't there rumours on here we had an option on him? Also rumours Bidwells off so I think it's fair to say a new LB will be coming in. Whether it's Burrows or not I've no Idea. And that's of course if you discount the JDS to Germany rumours!

I agree, when we're playing well we can really dominate games, how would he perform when he has long periods doing nothing? Though I'd bet his hands and feet wouldn't stop working!

I'm not sure you've understood Fergusons quote. And Collins has done more than most to derail our play off chances I the last month or so, but again, there are other factors, I'm not saying if we sign a topclass keeper all is rosy but we definitely need a big upgrade.

Agree, a decent keeper isn't a magic bullet, there are other areas need attention. But the idea we can sort them out and then we'll be ok persevering with jazz hands is crazy.

As Alex Ferguson said, a good keeper is worth 15 points a season, you're massively underpaying the importance of the role. The outfield players are going to have to do something incredible if a keeper is gifting the opposition a goal every game.

There's a strong argument that the keeper is the most impactful position. It certainly isn't one that can be taken that lightly you can afford to have someone in there who drops a clanger every game.

I think Bidwell will go, the Peterborough lad will come in, and it will be between him and Dasilva. Which is a shame, I'd like it to be Bidwell and the other lad, (whoever it may be).

I genuinely don't see how anyone can consider Collins a better option than Wilson after the calamity of the last few weeks. Having said that, if we start the season with either in goal I'll be really disappointed.

To be fair he's the most beduff like player in the squad, I can see why they've took a shine to him.
