Match Thread Coventry v Bristol R Match Thread - Saturday 25th Mar

I think you're right, when he plays we have much more possession, the opposition can't score when they don't have the ball.

Match Thread Coventry v Port Vale Match Thread - Tuesday 21st Mar

Spot on post, I've never believed our players don't try, or don't care. I do believe the team is ill equipped for this league, lack confidence and that there is a huge fear factor.

Were you one of the 51,455

When will we see 3 games like this again? - 25 March '63 v Sunderland (5th round) 30 March v Man U (6th round - Charlton, Law and a team stuffed with internationals, they treated the FA Cup properly in those days!) 25 April v Wolves (MM of the C) Anyone who saw these 3 games was privileged - and...

Were you one of the 51,455

The Sunderland game was fantastic. I was there with my Sunderland supporting Grandad, he got carried away with the atmosphere and by the end of the game was shouting for City!

Were you one of the 51,455

I was just 12 at the time, and this game, the 'Midlands game of the century', for me, just tops the F.A. Cup Final. Is that sacrilege? I was young, optimistic, I was a Cov kid, the best City in Britain (City of Skills and Opportunity - remember that?), a great football team etc etc.

You ever been the first person in a stadium?

In the sixties, as a kid, I would walk up to Highfield Road from Radford, my memory tells me I would get there and into the ground at around 12.30pm. There were always a lot of kids there at that time, I don't think I was ever the first in. The build up and anticipation was fantastic.

Match Thread The worst performance of the season

I agree, we were bullied out of it at Oxford, never got near them.

    Goodnight Nick.

LAST is seeing these threads more clearly than you are, Nick. He's pretty accurate in his assessment.

Do you read these threads, Nick? Seriously??

    Lamieres and Reid

    Impressive!

    Burge

There are a small number of posters on here who give a balanced view, for example, by highlighting the deficiencies in our defence, and the impact on a goalkeeper of losing games and conceding goals every week.

    Burge

Yes Nick, many times. I'm commenting on the way that people comment. Not exactly constructive criticism, just a queue of people putting the boot in.

    Burge

What an embarrassing thread this is. Let's see how long our fans can go on lambasting one of our young (relatively) players. It's like a competition to see who can come up with the most expressive put down.
