Definitely. Dovin is really good and was only getting better before that shithouse crocked him.

Yep, really good teams all over the place.

You can only have a ticket if you remember…

Indeed. So few i actually remember them. Rotherham away, a McFadz disaster class. Tranmere at 'home', a complete robbery. Shrews away. Then didn't lose again all season.

Waste of money mate. Can always find a dodgy stream if you do fancy watching a game anyway.

Sheff Utd was more like 20-25 years I think, shortly after Prem relegation. Although I don't imagine they've done the double over us often, we tend to beat them at home and lose there. 40 years since a double over West Brom sounds believable.

Basically if there was no CCFC, wanking would be my only hobby.

    Gabriel Batistuta

Absolutely. If CCFC stopped existing tomorrow the sport would be a complete irrelevance to me. I still like to stay educated on it, I like reading up on players and stuff that are doing well in crappy foreign leagues because I'm a sad act but thats mainly because I like to know what's out there...

I agree. English football being a powerhouse benefits my club, i believe we benefit from being in the strongest second division in the world and i believe if we get promoted it will completely revolutionise our club. Ultimately Coventry City is my number 1 love so that's good, i guess. I cannot...

I think you are right, although i think Ronaldo was injured for a lot of it. Vieri held the world record transfer fee for a very small amount of time i believe, from memory Crespo took that title soon after but i could be wrong.

Nice nostalgia thread Evo. A better time. Proper football, proper strikers, proper fans, proper commentary.... no VAR!

First time i've heard Mutu mentioned in a while, and never thought i'd see it in a thread about the greats! It is relevant though as he was a good player and points to a time when even small countries had very good players dripping out their eyeballs. I believe Adrain Ilie of Valencia would have...

Someone from the era who gets seriously slept on for me, probably because an old slightly clapped out version arrived on our shores at Chelsea, is Kyiv/Milan Shevchenko. Absolutely lethal CF. Proper player!

It's too difficult as there was genuinely too many good players. Most people would land on a similar GK and back 4 i think, I'd kick Thuram out for Nesta, wasn't Thuram more a RB? He's be my second choice RB after the one you have in. I'd change the rest of your team other than Zidane, i think...

The best mate. Take me back. I have absolutely zero interest in it these days until around the semi final, I've not even bothered to try and understand that mess of a group stage.
