    We're not ready

So what you are saying is, that our defence would suddenly stop conceding goals if we get a new RB!? Are you serious? It's more fundamental than that and not all of our goals come from the right. I would've thought your 'superior' knowledge would know this.

Now the Carlisle dust has settled

If we don't sign a striker and Clarke struggles, I think he'll just play Elliott. Sigh.

    4-4-2 - why?

Man U play 4-4-1-1 quite a lot, they mix up the diamond as well, Fergie is possibly the greatest manager ever, he knows when to play what formation, whether it be, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 etc. etc. he is down with it, still, credit to him, but Man U predominately play 4-4-1-1, with RVP playing...

    4-4-2 - why?

Same, but we pretty much played 4-3-3 v MK, I thought it was that for a while, just it was 4-5-1 because the wingers weren't as advanced, I'd be tempted to try it, if it fails, it fails.

    4-4-2 - why?

Why on earth would we play that formation!?
  6. Mucca Mad Boys

    4-4-2 - why?

That's a good formation, just Thorn was an idiot, he would've made the popular 4-4-2 fail.

    4-4-2 - why?

I think 4-3-3 would be a good alternative, have a sitting mid, Bailey or Jenno, say Thomas and Fleck further forward with a front 3 of Baker, Clarke and Moussa. It's attacking and promotes a passing game. I don't think we have the wingers to play 4-4-2, CM of Thomas and Jenno could work, but...

    Jon Taylor anyone

Firstly, I don't think we'd sign Taylor, unless we got promoted, even then, I wouldn't put money on it. I don't want to change the direction of this thread to a discussion of rent etc. In short though, if some money was saved from a reduction in rent, it would be logical and rational to...

    4-4-2 - why?

Why do some people think we should play 4-4-2? I personally don't think it is a good formation, it isn't as attacking as some are led to believe, in our case, it would mean taking a midfielder out and having a negative impact on our 'passing' philosophy. We are all happy with the way we...

    Mid table finish

We'll have to wait and see, just get into the top 6 ASAP. We've got the quality that's for sure.

    Defence...

... Why are is it so leaky? What's wrong with our defence, some have singled out Clarke and Chrisie, but I think it goes further than that, I think that we might need a new CB. Something is wrong, we just need to find the root cause of it all, is it Edj? Is it Wood? I don't know, but whatever it...

    Mid table finish

Top 6 is more than achievable, little setbacks, but we have enough about us.

    City were Rubbish today!

Defensively and crossing Clarke is better. Christie is better at getting forward and linking up with his RM. Goalscoring is even: not many!

Moussa will be the AMC I'd imagine.

    Jimmy Hill V Mark Robbins

The tone sounded quite sarcastic if I'm honest. Sounded like you weren't actually blaming Thornbut rather some else, wo would that be then if that was the case? Not the fans... The thread changed direction because CJ thought he'd steal the show saying Thorn should have been given more time...

    Jimmy Hill V Mark Robbins

I'm still torn over the decision to sell Juke. I was pretty resigned that we were going to get relegated whether Juke stayed or left, when he left, there was no chance, unless tis Nimely was going to bang them in (unlikely) or Cody or Platt step up (even more unlikely!) Had we of kept Juke...

Is this another dig at SISU or are you actually blaming Thorn.
  19. Mucca Mad Boys

    Jon Taylor anyone

We've just signed Leon Clarke... 11 in 16, he'll be a good signing mark my words. We're neither going to sign Taylor or a 'proven goalscorer' (for money), so it's pretty pointless what I'm going to say, but here goes, Taylor is a good young player who has potential to, possibly, be a prem...

    Bristol City

That means he's doing a good job. I think he won't go to Brizzle, Blackpool, not sure if they'd want him and if they did, could they pay compensation? I don't know, I wonder if MR would even be interested in them.
