Saracens Academy players. And I would bet no more than five TBH

There's a lot of good news in that article. Luc won't let them down, and Daynes never does. It'll also be interesting to see Narra coaching from a different perspective (from the sidelines) too.

One of the season's stand-out players, Nile Dacres, has just signed a two-year contract extension. Club's on its way back. No doubt.

Stand up if you've never watched Wasps

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than watch Wasps (or even set foot in the Ricoh I'm afraid to say). I've also lived nearer to Leicester than Cov for the last 35 years, and have only once been to Welford Road (and that was because a mate had a spare freebie for that dirty wanker Dean Richards'...

Current average is approaching 1800, and will be much closer to 2000 by season's end, I'm sure. Dan Rundle was very, very fast, and used his speed to compensate for his defensive frailties (covering back to overtake many an opponent on their way to the whitewash). However, it wasn't enough to...

Definitely a penalty try there. Trimble was through and clear when le Roux tackled high. The ref was near enough to see it clearly. The camera wasn't. Incidentally, Trimble has come on leaps and bounds this season, showing the capability to step his way through instead of relying on his...

City result nearest the day you were born (before or after)

Lost 1-0 at Bristol City. Finished the day in 15th place of Division 3 (South) on 22 points from 17 games. Guess we've gone down the shitter since then...

One potential good thing - DMP have to travel all the way to Plymouth the Saturday before (Feb 17), so will hopefully get a reet good softening up in readiness for Cov.

Word is that Rowland Winter is already well into recruiting next season's squad, and targetting Championship-standard players as a minimum. So, we either get promoted and can - hopefully - compete at that level, or we have a very strong squad in NL1. In either case, it should be fun.

Have to agree on the beer question. Ubu doesn't do it for me. Gold is much more to my taste.

I got into the club bar at just after two, and turned round and came straight back out again. I sometimes yearn for the days when you could get served in five minutes. Still, the game made up for it.

Foxy is a very good player who has slowed with age (don't we all). He always had a rep as being a bit 'tasty', but it seems his lack of MPH had made him a bit flakier than he was, and was very obviously sent on to disrupt Cov. And it worked.

Yes, couldn't find it on NCA either! But then turned up the poor quality one on the RFU site. Much clearer on the one I saw before.

http://wgovernanceww.englandrugby.com//discipline/video/sam-tuitupou-coventry-red-card/ Bloody awful quality vid (the one I saw first was way better). However, look from about 2 min in. It is the No.19, not 18 as I thought. 18 is Fox.

And having now viewed your RFU link, the vid is not available on it as far as I can see (?). IIRC it was viewable on the NCA Rugby site. Need to check though.

Only just spotted this thread. I saw the video of the incident as soon as it was published, and if you look closely, their No.18 (from memory) goes into Tuitupu with his shoulder (no attempt to make a legal tackle; a yellow card offence if the ref had been sighted) to the face as Sammy is...

Yes it was. Still belongs to Pete Stewart and family (who also owns the dire 'Grange' pub and half of the scabby businesses down Trunch Lane).

There are lots of (awful) pubs that look like houses (and sell lots of Carling and John Smiths to visiting eejits from Nottingham and Leicester) in Chapel (that's Chapel with one 'l' and Leonards without an apostrophe BTW). Your description, Grendel, is otherwise fairly accurate, but as I...
