    If City were a band

A fantastic punk record that, Babylon's Burning. Hung himself didn't he, Malcom Owen?

Why is everyone so Anti Paul Ince?

The more I hear about Ince the more I want Robins. It's bad though isn't it. We are now all choosing a manager based on which one we dislike the least! ;)

We're in a rut, We gotta get out of it - out of it - out of it - out of it - out of it We’re in a rut, We've gotta get out of it - out of it - out of it......out of it!

    If City were a band

Thinking about it, one band does sum us up perfectly. The Fall!

    Ince, Robins or Shaw

Worked on small budgets. That has to suit us better than Ince who would surely be looking for much more financial backing in the transfer markets.

Why is everyone so Anti Paul Ince?

Jim Brown went through the records and uncovered this little gem. Rather embarrassing isn't it.

    Ince, Robins or Shaw

But didn't Richard Keys say that a takeover deal was imminent and that the City were going to go bust any minute a couple of months ago?

Only one man to blame for this- Thorn

I certainly wasn't one of them and as I said previously on another thread I don't recall who said that.

Why is everyone so Anti Paul Ince?

The last manager we had poached while in charge here was Jesse Carver in 1955.

Why is everyone so Anti Paul Ince?

9 in a row does point a little to a lost the plot moment, but maybe there were other circumstances to consider too. You compare that however to the likes of Paul Tisdale whose team went 125 games without back to back defeats and it looks even more dreadful.

Why is everyone so Anti Paul Ince?

Robins left but is blamed for managing a team he wasn't even leading? Hmmmmm, let's not let facts get in the way of a good story. ;) Don't think people are that anti-Ince, just that they don't think he is the answer and just another 'name.' This stuff they pick up on though. Milton Keynes...

    If City were a band

Indeed. Got about 6 of their albums and seen them live too.

    If City were a band

    Killing Joke?

    If City were a band

When have City been runners-up to anything. Is there a band called the also-rans by any chance?

    If City were a band

    Megadeth? :(

    Ince, Robins or Shaw

Yep, Robins. Always thought he was a decent manager and though not on my own list of candidates I would want here we could do a lot worse. We need someone with experience of working on a tiny budget and he fits that profile. If that's the 3 I hope it's him.

    If City were a band

    Or the Canadian band 'Low.'

    Ince, Robins or Shaw

Ince was brilliant in his first spell at Macclesfield. That was nearly 6 years ago though. Got rid of from his last 3 positions.

    If City were a band

Who would we be? I can only think of 'One Direction' at the moment.

    Ince, Robins or Shaw

And Ince by all accounts has always wanted to be backed financially by boards. Robins has always worked on a very small budget.
