Barton: "It was my man for the goal [Barnsley's winner] on Tuesday. Things like that happen in football.
"I was angry and disappointed and I have to make sure on Saturday that if I am marking a man that that he doesn't score. Even the best players, people like John Terry, concede the odd goal...
Barton [on Mowbray]: "He's a very experienced manager and it's massive for the club for Tony Mowbray to come to the club. That's what we needed, a presence.
"The first day he came in he expressed how much he wants to play football, get it down and pass and that's great for me.
It's such a tragic way to lose your life, but also to lose a child! Bad enough your child dying, but in this manner and my someone so close to the family?
What possesses people to do this kind of thing?
Think long term he will, but if he's only hanging around til the summer (if it did all go tits up), wouldn't be worth massive changes
Expect talks will be ongoing to bring Mark Venus in in the summer
Martin:
Frustrating. Goal was poor to concede at set play. Only shot they had all game
Frustrating (mentioned again)
Conditions made it very difficult. Hard to play into the wind first half but same for both teams
(That was a short interview....)
Post match interview with McFarlane
First half against the wind we did Ok created chances have up little
Second half in favour of wind didn't cause enough
Silly foul for goal and didn't pick man up who scored
First 25-30 mins didn't get going
Not until Frank came on we didn't...
One consolation is that it's probably better Mowbray saw how poor we can be, rather than us do everything right and he end up thinking 'well this is going to be easy'.
Shout for a City pen United by ref after Frank is pulled down in the box
Only come alive since franks been on the pitch although he's changed wings since he put the decent cross in earlier
Frank creates our best chance from the wing ;)
Few step overs, crosses low to find Samuel, shot blocked x 2, rebound finds Frank no offside flag, crosses low across goal and German lad doesn't anticipate the chance and stalls. Goes for a throw
