The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Is this right? NHS budget currently £134B, what we send to the EU a year £13B. If leaving the EU means that the NHS budget will be swallowed up by a £90B a year post Brexit drug deal where’s the maths for Brexit to add up on this one single issue alone? Please, someone tell me why those figures...

Not sure if it’s available on catchup but you can watch it through the C4 app Dispatches - Episode Guide - All 4 worth watching though.

I was doing two things at once at the end of the program so didn’t catch everything in full what was said but I think it was said that if US pharmaceutical companies get their way the cost to the U.K. would equate to two thirds of the current NHS budget. Someone like FP who’s very up on the NHS...

Apparently not. The thing is as well Trump seems to be a driving force behind this and largely to address an imbalance between what the US pays for drugs compared to a lot of the developed world. Instead of using his power and influence to bring down drug prices in the US his idea is to make...

    Shamima Begum Not Allowed Back.

1000’s? It’s about 900 isn’t it? Many of who have been killed so I’m not sure where you’re getting thousands from.

It didn’t take him long to replace us. He’s going to end up blocking half the forum members before long because they’re “twisting” and “lying”. Couldn’t possibly be Astute.

The Dispatches special on C4 seems to be blowing the lid of the NHS being of the table to the US post Brexit. It seems at official and unofficial trade meetings since Boris said it’s definitely of the table drug prices have most definitely been on the table and without the safety in numbers...

I see the DUP abstained from Boris’ election vote. He’s definitely burned his bridges there. Or maybe the DUP don’t fancy their chances in an election. Given they were DUPed.

Boris’ deal got through. The only reason it’s not moving forward is purely down to Boris.

I read something about the Tories wanting it before the annual flu epidemic hits in January when traditionally they get slated for their failures in the NHS.

That’s not even remotely true. Just of the top of my head I know he signed and supported a motion in Parliament (on the 20th anniversary of the Birmingham pub bombings IIRC) to condemn IRA violence, pay its respects to its victims and support the continual work of the GFA.

Not the unionist population, just the DUP and their hardest followers. Can’t believe that the DUP were stupid enough to come out of a meeting with Boris and describe it as constructive and satisfactory thinking that he was going to stick to what he was telling them or indeed stick by what he...

    What’s with all the ads?

Hey Nick. What’s going on with all the ads? Drop downs, ad at top of the page, ads between posts and ads at the bottom of the page. It’s like viewing the Coventry Telegraph site all of a sudden:)

Extension confirmed until 31st of January. (edit) Although we can leave sooner if a deal gets through Parliament. Best thing Boris can do then is push for the earliest possible GE to avoid delaying Brexit any longer than necessary. Like the remainers are trying to push through.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I see the Conservatives are now running scared of an election Government rejects Lib Dem-SNP election bid which is strange because you would think that an election sooner rather than later will give those slow on the uptake as to what Boris is really about much less time for the penny to drop...

Anybody joining after 1999 IIRC has to make a commitment to join the Euro but even then only when and if they make the criteria. Us and Denmark has an opt out but if we leave and then rejoin we’ll lose that but even then Sweden who doesn’t have an opt out had a referendum on joining and it was...
