    Death List 2021

Muddly Talker. A real gent, and a decent rider in his day, as was his dad. He'll be missed.

Oi. I resemble that remark ;)

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

Doubt it's ever going to happen, sadly. Speedway's a dying sport with tracks closing left, right and centre over the last 20 years or so I used to love Saturday summer evenings on the back straight after a couple of pints in Church Lawford on the way, and chips in Wolston afterwards (or...

Yes, that's it. Liked that pub. And yes, I watched it going up, so know exactly why it's called that.

Just don't let him sing. My ears are still bleeding from the last time he did that over the PA at the Butts :)

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

We used to park in Stratford St, and often have one in the pub opposite the jack block. Damned if I can remember what it was called.

Don't think my councillor would give a shit either. However, yes, my mum (who is the resident and voter there) raised it at least twice before, with no response whatsoever. I intend to raise it again (in her voice; she's too old -90 - and frail - extremely - now to do it herself) in the near future.

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

The parking thing pisses me off. I have a house just off Hall Green Road (my mum lives in it) which is affected by the restrictions. I have to have a pass to park outside my own house, which is utterly ridiculous given the distance from the ground. It's a good 25 to 30 minutes walk, so hardly...

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

Jeez. That brings back memories. I had a Wang terminal just like that at Jag Radford in the eighties. How things have moved on.

Found it. Hasn't had any of their beer in since I bought it though.

Still got the programme somewhere. Was it around 2006?

If you could have one new thing at the Ricoh

I buy Harry's Scrummage Medium and Whin Hill Perry. Both still (can't stand it fizzy), and both real; produced from their own fruit (definitely no concentrates). Trust me ;)

If you could have one new thing at the Ricoh

It's pretty horrible. I'll stick with the stuff I buy direct in 20L and 10L BiBs from Devon (cider) and Norfolk (perry).

If you could have one new thing at the Ricoh

Oh, and boat trips to and from the Greyhound.

If you could have one new thing at the Ricoh

Yes, yes, yes. Flood the place with Dhillon's stuff. Some proper cider would be even better, but unfortunately that's not going to happen. (Thatcher's shite, even though far better than the Strongbow/Magners ilk is still shite).

    Recommend a beer

Got a tall and quite fancy St Peter's glass somewhere, from a pack of theirs I bought many years ago. I have no clue if I liked the beer or not!

    Recommend a beer

An advert for this popped up on my FB feed just now, and brought back some memories. We camped at Rochefort (Ardennes Forest) back in about 1990 or so, and the on-site bar was rammed with this stuff and loads of others. Bro in Law and I could barely stand for about three days. Gonna have to get...

    Directors box

Really not a problem. I personally know several people at Cov RFC who would not really be considered 'essential' to the running of matchday, but who are permitted to travel to matches (two are photographers for the club, one a bbc commentator, one a 'fifth official/sub linesman'). As long as you...
