New signing Romain Vincelot happy to play a villain's role with Coventry City

Looking forward to seeing him line up in a CCFC shirt (even if I don't remember what he was like against us :D)

3-1 win. Goals scored by Trialist A, Trialist B, Trialist C. None will go on to sign deals :)

    Adam Le Fondre

Not wanted by Cardiff. Wants to move up North, so Bolton fans have started a collection. What a shame we don't meet his 'up north' criteria. We could have started our own whip round :D http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33583621

    Villa after 'Cov Kid'

I wouldn't begrudge him a move there. Better chance of making a name for himself especially on the international scene (although I get Vardy got his call up while playing for Leicester). I don't think he'd be disloyal signing for them, whether he's a Cov kid or not. safe to say though if he...

Conor Thomas has come back hungry

I hope so. He can strike a ball; we've seen it but not enough, and not successfully enough admittedly. However I'm hopeful we'll see him further up the pitch this season and getting rewards for it in goals

Conor Thomas has come back hungry

I've never been a fan. Don't think I ever Will be. Fair play if he can go on and prove me wrong; I just can't see that happening :D

    El Capaitano

Im not sure. Would give players who are captain like Rooney more of a reason to appeal EVERY decision that goes against him or a team mate :D

    Mowbray wants five more

It's where we are at nowadays. League status won't allow us to attract any better players unfortunately unless it's a loan to put themselves in a shop window (although if Samuels came here like he did last time I think he'd perform because he wants to and can perform rather than just wanting to...

    Kyle Spence

Even if he signed for another Midlands club, that would suggest it was home sickness and he (or most likely his 'advisors') probably thinks he's better than this level. If he is, I wish him well. If he's not and he's just being ill advised, we shouldn't be sad to see him go.

    Kyle Spence

He's only been here 1 season so I doubt we'd get much.

    Kyle Spence

Wonder if he'd get home sick if he was offered a deal by a big club further North (one of the Manchesters, Liverpool etc) or even abroad. Not saying he's that good but just using as an example as I bet homesickness wouldn't come into it then if that was to happen for any player

    Kyle Spence

CET article on the subject; Coventry City Academy winger Kyle Spence appears to be weighing up his options after stalling on a new deal with the Sky Blues. The 18-year-old is the last remaining Academy graduate not to commit himself to the club after being offered professional contracts at...

    El Capaitano

My preference would be Vincelot as I prefer a captain to be in the middle of the pitch, where he can communicate to both the forward and backward lines. That said, I suspect it will be Ricketts
