Match Thread Norwich City - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 26th Jan

To be fair, when Ipswich beat them at Portman Road this season, it was Ipswich’s first win against Norwich since 2009. Since then Norwich have won 8 and there have been 6 draws. Norwich really have had the upper hand against Ipswich in the last 17 years.

Match Thread Norwich City - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 26th Jan

These are like Preston, we never beat them, particularly away. They’re much better than their league position suggests. A draw would be excellent. And they still have to play Ipswich at home which could work for us.

    Villa Rivalry

As you said, Wolves are the real enemy to anybody who got chased around Molineux in the 60’s!! I’m now too old to hate anybody…..

I agree, just fantastic, I’m chuckling away here!!!

    Transfer Rumour Obikwu to QPR

I only saw him only once in a friendly at Exeter a couple of seasons ago. I thought he had something about him, but he was never given opportunity here under Robins or Frank. Shame really, but obviously have to trust manager and coaching staff’s judgement. Good luck to him.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

On Look North this evening Regis Le Bris hs stated that Dan Neil is going nowhere in the transfer window, even though he’s only played 13 minutes in the Premier League this evening. Could mean nothing, of course…..

I agree that some of the personal criticisms are out of order, but I can’t see myself looking back and thinking that Hadji was a good player for us.

    Our Weakest Position

Yep, I’ve thought how well we would do to win promotion with these two forwards.

    For those that remember 1967

That Sunderland game was my first, 1964. Went with my Grandad who was from South Shields. What an atmosphere, the gate was recorded as something above 40,000, but fans broke a gate down so the actual attendance would have been nearer the record for the Wolves ‘67 game. At that Wolves game as an...

    Bottled it

Another poor thread title…. This was always going to be tough, particularly with the thin nature of our squad and the heavy fixture list. Cut out the goalkeeping mistake (and it happens), and we get a decent point, perhaps two.

And I would add for what it’s worth, that he could have so much power and speed, and if he finds those and harnesses them, I would be delighted….. and this is still a poor taste thread title.….

    Haji shite

Well I try not to waffle shit, and I try not to be too down on any players. In the case of Wright, he’s done very little this season which is now over halfway through, and I just feel that he goes missing when the going gets tough, and there’s plenty of evidence of that.

    Haji shite

I agree, it’s a rotten title, although in no way am I a fan of Wrights, this is out of order and unnecessary.

This exactly, Wright is a flat track bully.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Yep, he may have talent but we rarely see it. When it’s a tough game, he goes missing.

    For those that remember 1967

Yes, I was at that game, it was the season before our promotion season, 65/66. I remember Harold being introduced, thought we lost 3-0? This season doesn’t feel like 66/67, think we had better creative players. Mind you, I was 11/12, City could do no wrong. That Wolves game, the time of my life...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Not sure if we’d get anywhere near £20/25 mil. Based on what? Not performance levels surely. If we got our money back to reinvest then I’d take it….

    Haji- new agency

And - we’re never gonna get anywhere near £20 mil for Wright….
