    VAR tonight

The problem is once you start using the technology you have to get the decision right but it is all about opinion. Using technology last night meant a perfectly good goal (to the naked eye) was disallowed. Once VAR was bought in, it was chalked off because (again rightly in my opinion) the derby...

    VAR tonight

This is a tweet from Danny Baker (#prodnose) and I totally agree. VAR ruins games and the spectacle of football. Offside, like hand ball, is now purely a television construct. TV used to cover games. A guest at a live event. Now it dominates, demands & bullies. Fuck off TV. Game on. Sent...

    Ignorant moron...

Of course we as ordinary citizens will have no more power even if/when we ‘take back control from Brussels’. What recent events have shown, no matter whose manifesto you vote for at a general election the MP you helped elect will go their own way.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Saturday 12th Jan

Thought Bright a yard off the pace...just not quite match fit. I’m sure he will be an asset when he is. I think he needs to be more disciplined in his position. He wandered all over the forward and midfield lines and left other city players crowded or exposed. When he trains a few weeks with the...

    Player ratings

Burge 5: rooted to line too often. Mixed distribution. Sterling 7: solid performance Willis 7.5: his pace saved us a couple rimes. Won his battles well. My motm Hyam 7: looked good alongside Willis McCallum 5.5: decent first start. Lost a bit of confidence in his own ability after his...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Saturday 12th Jan

As a kid you learn to get your head/knee over the ball to keep it down. Can’t believe how many times we have leant back and blazed over. Think Bright not fully fit and not sure what position he is playing. Also doesn’t seem to want to head the ball. Why don’t we play balls in front of players...

    Incoming ! - Bright Enobakhare

Never seen him play so cannot really comment other than to say if he has had 20+ appearances for a team that won the championship last year he must have something about him. Hopefully he will do well in Sky Blue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Film Thread 2018

Went to see the second Mary Poppins today. The original was the first and only time I went to the pics with my mum and dad back in the 60s. It was ok but not up to the original in either plot or songs...perhaps I’m just getting old. Loved the dick van dyck cameo. But the guy playing jack not up...

    What Books You Reading ?

Best book I read in 2018 was John boyne’s ‘the hearts invisible furies’. Usually have two books on the go...one of the classics and a thriller/crime but also whatever recommended by friends (that’s where I picked up the John boyne). Currently about to start ‘crime and punishment’ by Dostoyevsky...

    JSB party!

Yes it is. I think it is testament to Pat and the other senior members (Lyn and mark etc) that at least 3 of the regular helpers are 15/16yr olds who enjoyed the family zone when they were younger. When I picked up son he told me that as he was helping tidy up and taking things out to various...

Match Thread Wycombe Wanderers vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 1st Jan

Very good result and a great Christmas week for the sky blues. Who would have thought it when we were in the losing run. Hopefully next few games consolidate our position, a couple of additions in the window and then let’s see where we are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
