Match Thread Coventry City at AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Saturday 11th Aug

Our full backs have been too exposed. We need to get the ball down and play, avoid their hoof tactic. Our central defenders have done well against it but we have to cut it out and pick the ball up more in the middle of the park. Slow them down. There is clearly still lack of understanding...

they keep throwing it in our penalty area giving us a problem should we make a mistake and not win the second ball

It's early doors and shuffling the pack a little with some regard to those that are not match fit or ready yet (Willis, Allasani) Brown I'm not sure of. Jordy is a goalscorer and Bako alongside will hopefully be the provider. Have no idea how to predict this. The Wombles are a tough unit but...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Scunthorpe United Match Thread - Saturday 4th Aug

That was very disappointing. We just about deserved to win on overall play but sadly we must concentrate every minute. Yes the post saved Scunny a few times and a great stop from their keeper late on. But we played a side who in flashes looked good coming forward and were missing 3 of their...

    Fantastic transfer window

At this level it seems like some good transfer business. I'm not so sure the likes of Kelly and Doyle will even feature much all season. If the new signings prove worthy then we should have a good season. Maybe Chaplin will complete the line up but this Jordy guy seems well proven at this...

Ideally then with all back and fit what is the side Robin's hopes to field? (Given we have Chaplin or AN Other by then)

Match Thread West Brom v Coventry City Friendly

What was the side the last few games and play offs last season? Are we anywhere near that side? Was Kelly & Doyle not at their best at that point in the engine room? Max scoring spectacular goals? JCH an able sub off the bench? So we lost McNulty and his goals and just as important his running...

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

Well well it turns out my daughters landlord for her student house is none other than Lee Brown the Portsmouth left back! Met him the other day, nice bloke. He's been doing really well last couple of seasons. Seems like a good wing back and just went to Portsmouth from Bristol. If I see him...

Bids for McNulty / McNulty to Reading

That's my point, he was but he also scored for fun for the first half or so of the season much the way McNulty did the same only in reverse sequence. he is a goal scorer and could reestablish that back here. Confidence is a wonderful thing when you are given it.

Bids for McNulty / McNulty to Reading

Anyone considered MR's may be quite content to let McNulty go? He scored well last season in the fourth tier. No guarantee he can emulate that in the third tier, remembering his first 15 games or so he couldn't hit a barn door! MR's may well be engineering this move as he has been promised the...
