Although they have been the better team, the ball just doesn't seem to be dropping for us.

They look sharper than us and their passing is more quick and incisive. Our movement is to predictable. Maybe too early for Thomas-Asante but he does provide greater variations.

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread-Sat 17th Jan 12.30pm

With Middlesbrough's result last night and Ipswich's form, today's game feels like it could be season defining unless it ends a draw. A win would give us such a confidence boost at crucial time, against what is a very strong team on paper. I think Jordan James is one of the best midfielders in...

Andrews should take some confidence from playing a full game. How long since our midfield pairing have been homegrown?

Shame it isn't available on TV. It would be nice to see how the new guys play and any of the youngsters. Does anyone know if there are any betting sites that might have the match, albeit on a thumbnail?

    Bottled it

Woolfenden has a chance now to step up and show he can be a starter. Difficulty when we were flying but now he has a chance. Hopefully Kelser-Hayden isn't out too long as Van Ewijk needs a rest.

    Bottled it

Our run of form demonstrates the need for reinforcements. However, our form also increases the risk of spending if we continue to slip. Gamble either way.

Lost to a poor side who seemed to fight harder than we did. Poor discipline defensively lost us the game. Really let down by this part of the team.

Times when we lost possession and then ambled back. Van Ewijk and DaSilva particularly. DaSilva cannot use the tired card after having Christmas off.

Our defence have been so disorganised. Thomas and both fullbacks have been particularly bad. I think if we could get an early equaliser, we would go on to win. However, they look just as likely to get the next goal.

    Loan watch

Both Dausch and Moore not in Forest Green squad today. Maybe both coming back. The double barrelled Moore is a different player.

I hope Simms isn't back on the bench and Wright starting. Hopefully back to 4 at the back with Mason-Clark and Sakamoto back.

Absolutely. If he took Wright off for Mason-Clark, we would have a forward who can control the ball and hold it up.

Match Thread Charlton Athletic - Coventry City Match Thread - Thursday 1st Jan

Tactically stupid. Our early goal hid the fact that it wasn't working. They were clearly going to equalise and nothing was done to change. It was shouting out for Mason-Clark to come on and hold the ball, something that Wright is incapable of doing. Worst performance of the season and our form...

    Strikers

Simms was scoring regularly and generally playing well, earning him Championship player of the month. He should have kept the shirt and Wright should have had to prove from the bench why he deserved to be a starter. This wasn't the case. As I have said before, Thomas-Asante gives us fluidity and...
