A mix mate. Prefer off grid when we can, but our next excursion is a couple of nights on a full service campsite. After that it'll be Britstops, CSs, and stealthy stuff up in Northumberland, then probably more similar in France, Spain, Portugal in September (and maybe Italy and Greece. We'll see...

Very true, although LiFePo4 batteries can go down to >20% completely without detriment. In our case (leisure vehicle) replacing 200ah of flooded/gel/AGM battery can be achieved with a 100ah LiFePo4 one. Yes, quite a bit more expensive at initial outlay but with its far superior cycle...

I'm certainly no expert, but you can't help but get a general overview if you do a bit of off-gridding!

The cycle lifetime is generally based on a near full discharge and a near full charge. 400 is probably about right for lithium ion chemistry, but lithium iron phosphate will usually do around 2000 or more cycles. I have two of the latter in the power packs I carry in my motorhome, so they'll...

    New hobby at 40.....?

You could try the Walking Rugby up at the Butts. To be fair, it's more glacial than walking, but dead easy on the joints.

This, according to @premrugby, is a 'brilliant photo'. What? Brilliant at highlighting the 'crowd'?

Why not? It's half of the civic colours. Maybe they could have made it half green?

Thousands the way it's going. Same every year. The fish see a load of them off though.

Bleddy frogs are doing all sorts of despicable things in my pond at the moment. Counted sixteen of them tonight (edit: not including the plastic one my grandson put there 🤣). Spawn everywhere. Dirty buggers 😉

    Selling House Privately

Bet it still leaves a bitter taste and an underlying current of mistrust though. There was no way I was going to subject my buyer to that. I owed them absolutely nothing, but morally it just didn't sit right with me. Hope it all pans out for you.

    Selling House Privately

Well, it's been a long old haul, but we finally completed today. Mixed emotions as we'd owned that house since I was three (1956), but hey, money in the bank, and mum's much safer and warmer, and loves it, in her new place, and it's much easier for us to get there too. All round, happy days.

    Gardening

They are grown on a rootstock, and this can vary in height. The one I had was probably about the same height as the one in the picture and a similar 'ball on a stick' as it were. Next door had one too, but that was on a very low stock and was in effect a low-growing shrub. You might need to shop...

    Gardening

I had to do a similar job about six and a half years ago, although fortunately the patio was reasonable enough to keep, and the rest was grass. Not a single shrub or plant. We'd downsized the house, and the garden, which was 160ft long before, so I brough quite a bit of stuff with me in troughs...

PS. They used to do the Hakuro Nishiki at Hilltop Garden Centre (Shilton way), but haven't been there for a year or two, so not sure if they still do. Fairly widely available though, I think.
