Match Thread Coventry City vs. AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Tuesday 17th Sep

Unfortunately not going tonight. Granddaughter got chicken pox and I’m staying for a few days (Buckinghamshire) while daughter and son in law go to work. Going for a 2-0 victory. Same team as Saturday apart from resting McCallum (he has had a lot of football in last few weeks) and if robins...

Burton Fly Trap - Match Report TLS

As always a good read. Loved the ‘cloak of invisibility’that Hiwula wears especially as it obscures robins view of him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s a travesty; certainly not one of godden’s better games but he received little or no service from those out wide and little meaningful support until O’Hare came on. He was well marshalled by the burton defence but unless we have players prepared to get beyond him that will always be the...

    O’Hare

O’Hare’s speed of thought makes him the most dangerous and creative player we have. He sees the opportunity to turn or let the ball run and can thread a good ball through a tight defence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Top of the league

Can’t see us for autos but a decent chance at playoffs. Defensively we are good enough and in a midfield of Kelly, Allen, o’hare (and Walsh covering) we should be as good as any in the league. It’s up front I think we struggle....godden needs better support if we are to be serious challengers...

Thought back four were excellent as a unit. Hyam and mcfadzean looked calm and assured (think that might be first time playing together as a pair). Dabo is a rough little player...has a mistake in him but gives his all. McCallum left exposed a lot in first half (because Hiwula not tracking back)...

Match Thread Burton Albion vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 14th Sep

Thought we were fairly poor going forward today but kept clean sheet against a team with playoff aspirations and secured a good point. Sign of a decent team is picking up the points without playing your best so as long as we win Tuesday it will be a very good week for the sky blues. Sent...

Bit disappointed O’Hare starting on bench. But other than that the expected line up. Pitch looks good so should be able to play our passion mg football Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Max Chomping at the bit

Can’t see him as anything other than a last 15min sub if we either chasing game and pumping balls forward or if we defending a slender lead and opposition using high balls into the box. But if robins changes starting formation to a 442 then I can seeing him getting game time alongside Godden...

    U23s vs Birmingham City U23s

My memory very poor [emoji17]apologies. Still I do think he has stood up well when pressured by big forwards as against Blackpool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    U23s vs Birmingham City U23s

I get what people are saying re Mason; he is the more accomplished left back of the two but I just want to put a word in for McCallum. He stepped in at right back when Dabo suspended; a big ask for a youngster to play out of position in his first full game of the season. He has covered for...

Match Thread Burton Albion vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 14th Sep

Hopefully keep the unbeaten start going. I’m plumping for a 1-1 but wouldn’t be surprised if we nicked it. Would like to see O’Hare start as he provides that bit of flair in final third. Burton are a decent outfit but nothing to fear. Will be an entertaining game if both sides go for it. Sent...

Development Players: Will somebody help me understand the idea?

Agreed. When you think his first full game of the season saw him stepping in at right back it shows his development as well as the trust robins places in him. Mason had a great start to the season (but was often criticised last year for being a little weak, not supporting forward enough, missed...

    Changing a winning team

O’Hare is the one player in this squad with Premier League potential. Therefore I would start him whenever possible. Yes Robins is right to manage young players carefully and should not rush a player back from injury etc(Kelly, Mason, Allen) but now O’Hare has settled, has got up to speed with...

Of course we wish we were playing in cov by St. Andrews a proper football ground and I’m loving it. Better atmosphere than the Ricoh even tho smaller crowds. Stewards generally friendly and an all round good vibe from local brummies...thank you. Some of this may be rose tinted specs as we have...
