An On The Field Thread - Who will be at CB ?

We do have academy players to play... With Nuneaton, we normally play 2 XI's in each half, and it's normally a mix of 1st XI and youth players. Maybe there are trialists?

I talked to B.C.F.A re. phoenix club.

I disagree, if someone came along and offered the amount SISU out in, the offer would be take, easily, but when you've invested so much capital, yet the only bid so far has been from Hoffman's consortium, for £1, after putting in, they say 40-odd million, they would tell them to feck off, I know...

I talked to B.C.F.A re. phoenix club.

We wouldn't start in the BSP, get real! Wimbledon had to start below non-league. A new Phoenix club couldn't afford to play in the RICOH, but also, who wants to watch a football club in a 32k seater with about 1-2k fans in it at best at the start!?

What will become of the Ricoh Arena ?

Where did you hear this? Saints won't move to Coventry, they only get 8k average in Northampton, their stadium holds about 15k, and they want to expand, probably couldn't afford the rent anyway. The likelihood of this is almost 0. To answer the thread directly, I think the RICOH would...

    Andy Murray - Wimbledon

You folk need to calm down, the way some were gojng on, it was as if he was about to lose, he lost the first set, big deal, there's 4 more sets to be played! The amont of times Murray has won a 1st set v Nadal, Federer and Djockovic yet still gone on to lose...

A controlled Leak? A conspiracy theory.

I'd say that it has been a stalemate, but I suppose Grendel has a point, because ACL put CCFC in admin, possibly expecting to oust SISU, they came back. If CCFC are playing at the RICOH come August, with SISU, then I'd say SISU 'won'.

    bedroom tax

If the bedroom tax applied to the RICOH, we'd be mega fucked..

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

Well lets judge him on results, last time I check, even the best managers chat shit, Mourinho and Fergie do it. I don't think he's deluded tbh, I hope he can sign players, because I think he's someone who can take CCFC forward. The players he's cut are justified on footballing reasons...

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

That happens to anyone who works at Pizza Hut anyway... ;) Please don't compare a footballer who gets paid around 5k p/w to someone on minimum wage, but also players that haven't been playing games, or if they have, performance has been of sub-standard, but also, if I got sacked, they'd give...

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

Just trust the manager's judgement. SP said he spoke to all the players 1 by 1 after the end of the season so anything that's been said in the press, the decisions had been made in early May.

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

They haven't left yet, so why is anyone moaning? He's said they aren't wanted, he hasn't got rid of them yet. Hopefully we're in a position to sign players soon.

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

It is the point, because they are being alienated because they aren't wanted because they aren't good enough. Ok I was wrong, SP is alienating them, but I would do the same if I were him - I wouldn't want any of those players starting.

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

Bosingwa must be one of the best RBs in the world based on his salary... It's a fair comment to make broadly speaking, but the player who want to get rid of are on wages that don't justify their squad role and performance levels, they are grossly overpaid. The players SP want to get rid...

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

I call it investment because you're still paying for that player's wages... You're assuming they'll be shit, I'm sorry, but Bell, Sheff and Wood for example, were/are on championship wages, yet, in relation to their wages, they are shit, and I think you could get 5 players for their wages and...

Cracked it ! Coventry & Nuneaton united A FC

And there were false prophets. Seems that some people have a weird sense of morality, 'lets relocate, and rename another club in protest of our club being relocated' where is the logic!? Some people have gone mad!

I talked to B.C.F.A re. phoenix club.

So you think CCFC will relocate permanently? That's funny. I don't think the FL will let it happen, they just can't. Also, Nothampton, UNLIKE Milton Keynes, have an established FL club so a franchise club wouldn't get support and we're only 'temporarily moving for 3 years'. I'm talking...

    Something not right

I didn't say it weren't a plan, just I don't think it was planned as far back as 1 year ago, I think the plan/strategy has change due to changes of the situation.

we support the groundshare - sign here

I don't support it, how the hell can I realistically get up there? 18, no car, low income, too time consuming, count me out. I would've preferred Walsall.

Jordan Clarke back in the fold

If he has the right attitude and applies himself, I'm sure he'll be in contention again. I know exactly what it's like to be frozen out by a coach.
