As someone else said, if he cuts out the errors he can be a very good player at this level for us. Technically he is streets ahead of Christie, and probably not all that much slower. Agree with JWC, he did hold the ball up reasonably v Orient and gave Moussa more help to run through from behind him.

Both out of contract in the summer but, correct me if I'm wrong, we've heard nothing from Waggott or SP on them getting a new deal. Sounds similar to the Richard Wood situation last year, no mention of a contract renewal and then come May it was no surprise. Can understand both wanting to move...

Don't think either last season's or this season's defences have been great! In the games I've seen, we seem to do okay defensively for most of the game, but get undone by silly errors/poor marking. Undoubtedly, the high pressing game left us more open earlier in the season until Pressley came...

We were 1-0 down at HT. And quality of player at the back? IIRC back 4 was J Clarke, Wood, Brown and Reckord. Personally more happy with Christie, Webster, Seaborne and Adams if I'm honest.

Contracts are always shorter the lower down the leagues you go, clubs can't afford to be handing out 3-4 year deals.

Good player and good attitude, I like Barton. Just don't think he quite fits Pressley's profile of what he's looking for in a central midfield player. Will do well for another L1 team and certainly has the ability to play at Championship level again. All the best, Adam.

Agreed. Juke was excellent in the last half season with us, despite playing under Thorn and amongst a load of kids and shite.
