    Goalscorers

5 goals from the defence are pretty poor. We played 48 league games before yesterday, scoring 1 goal! We need more goals from Willis and Grimmer et al. on a consistent basis!

    Summer Recruitment

Luton and us will do well, but I think Accrington will have overstretched themselves with promotion and will go down in 1-2 seasons, Wycombe will possibly be in and around relegation too.

    Summer Recruitment

I hope the players believe it, because of they genuinely believe it, that's one step towards the goal. McNulty seems to think we're in with a chance, and in terms of talent, we'd definitely have a solid L2 team with injuries to come back. Also, if there's a vision put forward to the fans and...

    Players ratings

It was a well-deserved win for us, even in the first half when it was a stalemate, we certainly looked like the team most likely to do something. This said, first half we struggled to deal with Stockley's aerial ability and I was worried the longer the game went on, the more likely they would...

    Summer Recruitment

There's a good chance that if we keep this team together, and add the right pieces, we could make a challenge for L1 playoffs too. That is a lot of 'ifs' though. Our main priority is wide players, probably two wingers because its doubtful Reid will be offered a new deal. Also, we could do with...

    Summer Recruitment

It'll be really interesting to see what kind of players we go for, and which players MR trusts to do the job in L1. I trust Robins to do well, the first priority is to stay up, hopefully, a top half finish though.

    Doyle elbow

Not a red. It was a foul, but it's the dark arts Doyle excels at.

    L1 final

Yep, well, that was with a team who had the most resources in the league. I'm glad he's done well this season, but he wasn't a very good manager for us.

    Good luck after tomorrow

With it looking like Tisdale's last game, good luck readjusting to life post-Tisdale era! Understandably, I hope that readjustment is in L2 and not L1!

    Biggest game since .......

In my time as a supporter watching games, possibly the most important game. Sure, glamour FA Cup ties and big Championship League games were enjoyable... But, each time we got relegated it didn't go down to the wire so rules out those games. This is the first chance we've had of promotion in...

    A note of caution

Recent L2 history bucks that trend! Breathe brother!

Notts County Second Leg - where does it rank?

Context is everything, the meaning of the County game goes up by ten-fold if we win on Monday! I was definitely particularly passionate on the Friday when we won! I'm usually stoic at football games! Probably the most cause of optimism I've had as a Cov fan! Monday is huge.

Would promotion bring some supporters back

If you know your history, we mainly sell players when we’re going nowhere.

Allez Allez Allez chant for Wembley?

The problem with this song is, we haven’t conquered L2 and we’d look like right tits if we went on to lose singing that... ... Liverpool have won the Champions League 5 times, so them singing that song actually makes sense. Nice idea, but I’m out I’m afraid.

    The World Cup Thread

Portugal winning the 2016 Euros was a shock, in the old format, they’d have been KO’d in the group. You have Greece won it in 2004, and also have Denmark in ‘92. Also, Wales made it to the semi-finals, and a few more ‘shocks’, are as followed; Costa Rica getting to the 1/4ers last time, Turkey...

1998 World Cup draw / fixtures were fixed

The two last world cups have bucked that trend... Spain won in South Africa against Holland and Germany in Brazil v Argentina. With modern methods of game prep, training (and so on), advantages that may have favoured South American teams (Argentina and Brazil) have been levelled.

    When I stop and think....

We need a bit of perspective on Bayliss, he’s been a revelation for us but, at the same time, he’s doing at L2 standard. If Bayliss is under contract until (potentially) 2020, then we have leverage to push up his value by a lot. We’ve already rejected offers from Derby that were worth upto £1m...

    When I stop and think....

Assuming he’s under contract, why do you think it’s certain? If we’re in L1, we’ve got a decent to good chance of keeping him. We might not be able to offer big money, but, we can offer something greater than that: career development. He should stay with us for one more season, unless we’re...

Got my tickets today, and I ordered mine yesterday.

    Wembley Tickets

We’ve sold more tickets by ourselves than the Shrewsbury and Rotherham combined for the L1 playoff final. We’re on course to match, or even beat the supports taken by Fulham and Villa too (but they’re both capped at 38k). Great support from the Sky’s Blue Army!
