The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It’s your EU customer that will use IPR as the importer(hence Inward) unless they’re not re-exporting on. In which case they’ll have to pay duty and tax. DHL is an international carrier so will be well versed, not sure about DPD.

It is a good point though. People could register for it and then not need it. Problem is a lot of businesses in the U.K. that work overseas have built their business on the single market and never worked outside of it so don’t understand things like IPR, declarations etc because they’ve never...

You don’t need to be registered. The shipping agent will be registered and can do it on your behalf and charge you a fee. That can be a set fee per shipment or a percentage of the value of the invoice value of the shipment.

By the way, your boss didn’t let anything slip. IPR has been around for as long as I can remember and is used throughout the EU. Might even have been their idea in the first place.

IPR is for goods you import then re-export. If you’re manufacturing in the U.K. not sure how you can take advantage of that.

Some one said to me today that we should leave on no deal because it means we will hold all the cards. Again. o_O

    Ifollow

Google chrome cast might do it. We use one on our main TV to stream from an iPhone as it’s not a smart TV. Never tried Ifollow on it as I get relegated to the bedroom to watch football and that is a smart TV.

Just on Channel 4 news Steve. 1 food wholesaler based in Larne bringing in 500-600 consignments a day from the mainland U.K.. Next year crossing the U.K. to U.K. border will need 500-600 import declarations and then each consignment will need the unique to the U.K. to U.K. border line by line...

Looks like the free to have Freeport’s bollocks has been touted again today. Distraction obviously needed from the facts coming out over the half baked deal. With regards to the facts of us being free to open Freeport’s see link below. https://fullfact.org/europe/free-ports/

I was reading that Australia deal is actually better than the no deal we’ll possibly end with because Australia has a number of bilateral agreements with the EU that we won’t. It’s bullshit from top to bottom.

Has a country ever voted to create a border within itself before? We’ve essentially created two, remembering that lorries will need a passport to enter Kent.

But we’ve traded of an entire country. Which was apparently project fear. Minimum paperwork would be what we have with the rest of the world which is pretty much what will happen deal or no deal with the EU including the south of Ireland, not what we’re getting though within our own shores...

Minimum impact to trade to where though Steve? We send stuff to all corners of the world and the paperwork exercise and the associated costs to send a 40ft container containing 22/23 pallets to the UAE will be simpler than sending 1 pallet on the back of a lorry from one part of the U.K. to...

It’s not just NI businesses. It’s directly effecting the U.K. business I work for. A shitload of paperwork time and costs have just been created at an expense to our profits. Have about 8 transactions a month going to Ireland if you average it out over the year and about 4 a month to Northern...

It’s worse than that. The data base that shippers need to access to move goods to the EU isn’t even going live until the 23rd of this month having missed several promised dates to go live so shippers can familiarise themselves with it ahead of January. It’s simply not ready and that’s why it’s...

Shipping to the EU is relatively straight forward paperwork wise and a system is already in place as it’s basically the system we already use with the rest of the world outside the EU, it’s a single declaration that a freight forwarder will do for anyone for anything from £25 up to £75 being the...
