Leaving the result to one side...

As I have said, I came away from that game with a lot of positives. We play like that every game and we are going to win a hell of a lot more than we lose for sure.

Hooray, 1 defeat and psgm1 is back!! What a surprise!

    So, so unjust

Of course Robins should be giving them the hairdryer treatment. We were wasteful in front of goal.

What can a guy do to catch a break

thought Baker played well tonight, until the last 15 mins. By then though the whole team's performance had dropped. Again, I said it before and I say it again, this is why I hate Facebook. I hate this virtual world of friends that soon can become worst enemies in the flicker of an eyelid. No...

    So, so unjust

I came away from that game not too despondent at all. Thought we played well, battered them for the most part, had most of the possession, 14 corners and 25 shots on goal. What we didn't get was the rub of the green and the rebounds and 2nd ball falling to us in the box. We could have quite...

    So, so unjust

How? Just don't get that argument at all. Even their keeper admitted we battered them. They will think they were clinical and defended well, but were also very lucky.

    So, so unjust

But I still believe we can turn this around. I really do. We scored 4 at Doncaster and 5 at Hartlepool and at times tonight we were running rings around their defence. I have no doubt whatsoever that we can go there and score 3 goals. Defence is a problem for sure, but we can score 3.

    So, so unjust

So you are saying we deserved to lose 3-0? Seriously? :(
  9. Otis

    So, so unjust

Of course you can. Cos there is no way we should have lost that game 3-0. Ian Wallace said that exact same thing at the final whistle. He said we should have won that game and deserved to win that game. The result was unjust. I recall going to Stoke away, many, many years ago and we were all...

    So, so unjust

Had loads to do with the rub of the green. Baker's shot that hit the post could so quite easily have gone in and the balls from the rebounds and saves weren't quite just falling for us. No way we had the rub of the green tonight. some poor finishing, great keeping, but lots of ill luck too.

    Play offs

We need to replace Wood. Simple as. Don't care how well he has been playing. With him at the heart of the defence we lack pace and agility. Think this is partly down to why our home form has been so rocky. Teams know they can counter attack us and have success and invariably a lot of it comes...

    Big Home Crowd Syndrome

Because it is such fine margins and football in a lot of ways is not quite so simple. We play well and lose and people say we were shite. We play badly and win and everyone's happy. Had 3 of those chances gone in and we had won, but played exactly the same way everyone would have been saying...

    Big Home Crowd Syndrome

But my point is, every other time we have played poorly and not turned up. Today we did. Today we played well. Big difference. The other occasions we just have been lacklustre and not played to our potential. Today was nearly all about ill luck.

    So, so unjust

The subs just didn't come off at all and added nothing. Gamble worth trying though. The players had given everything. Today we just didn't get the rub of the green. I thought we could have had a penalty in the first 20 seconds when Baker was bundled over. Anywhere else on the pitch and that...

    Big Home Crowd Syndrome

Yet today was different! Has been the argument in the past, but every time in the past we have failed to turn up and not looked half the side we have been capable of being. Tonight we played well and there is no doubt we should have won that game. We just didn't get the rub of the green. I...

    Knobend on pitch

Violent conduct? If that was violent conduct then I am a nun. All he did was trip him to slow him down, so the stewards could get to him. Violent conduct my arse! Booking was totally unjust.

    So, so unjust

Yet we could have scored 6. We gave their defence the run around. No reason to believe we can't do that again at Gresty Road.

    Andy Robins

What, a small thin bloke, bald but with curly hair, who sweats a lot and keeps saying 'err' all the time?

    Player Ratings vs Crewe

Would agree with nearly all that, apart from Edge, who did win some headers I thought and wasn't that bad. For me the weak link at the back is Richard Wood. He didn't play at all badly today, but he lacks agility and has little pace. Opposition players know they can run at him and beat him for...

    crewe 2nd leg ticket

Think people may well pay you £20 to take it off their hands! ;) I still feel we can beat them by 3 goals though. We quite clearly should have done tonight. We should have had 5 or 6. Just didn't get the rub of the green. We are better away, so of course we can still do it. No doubts about...
