There is a lot said about the foreign influence on English football, it's now such a defensive game.
I remember when Cov were in the top flight and they'd play 5 in midfield away at Man Utd, it was a novel defensive move. It's the standard today.
And his contribution in L2 is over stated, he was a sub for a lot of the time in which he'd apparently supported Mcnulty to his 28 goals. When he started he rarely completed 90 minutes.
Ha, what I really meant was that he never anticipates where the ball might land, that instinct to gamble isn't there. Fortunately their defender bundled it in anyway.
Agreed, it effects everything. Our midfielders starting position is 35 yards from our goal because of it, the wing backs just playing as full backs and O'Hare and forwards isolated.
The old adage "play in their half" is virtually impossible
The big problem is that our midfield make the forward pass from the defensive third, the team is so deep. Walker spins off hoping for a ball from Biamou which never comes.
We're not going to stay up trying to not lose at home, the game has been there for us to go and try to win second half and we've just not done it.
We're sat mostly in our own half all of the time and the goal was inevitable.
I have to say I put a lot of this on Robins, we either want to win...
