Throwing Pints in the air to celebrate?

I can't stand seeing irresponsible drinking... What a waste of all them pints!

    Transfer Rumours

There's always one who mentions Eisa on a transfer thread. This won't happen because they want over a million for him.

    Abu Ogogo

Considering he captained Shrewsbury to third, you'd think he'd be a starter.

    Transfer Rumours

We don’t need cover specifically for Doyle, he’s one of those players who is an exceptional professional who looks after himself very well, hence 40+ appearances every season since he left us, in 2011. He’ll probably end up with 30+ (at least) appearances this season too. The last time someone...

    Transfer Rumours

Considering he’s played 40+ games since he left us in his first spell, I somehow doubt that.

    Jones/Andreu

McNulty has already formed a successful partnership with Andreu in a 4-2-3-1, Robins emphasised their past experience when signing him. Last season, 4-4-2 undoubtedly got the most out of the team, and Andreu was the missing piece for that system in my view. McNulty and Beavon never clicked, the...

    Ryan Haynes has been sold

That's a very optimistic view from Shrewsbury fans. We've got the better of this deal by quite a lot, we get the 'best left back in League 1' (we'll see if he's 'the best' but, an established L1 LB for sure) whilst we get a fee for Haynes who started and ended the season as our second choice. At...

    Ryan Haynes has been sold

He certainly got a lot unfair stick when player around him had equal or worst performances. I do think Shrewsbury will struggle this season, their reward for such a great season is everyone nicking their players. Even we nicked their left back!

    Ryan Haynes has been sold

This deal works for all really. With 3 first team left backs, one had to go and to get a fee for Haynes is good going. Hopefully that fee can be reinvested. I prefer the balance between Brown and Stokes than Haynes and Brown. Keeping Stokes gives us an alternative option.

    Transfer Rumours

He was signed for the U23s, so I doubt he’ll see much first team football this season. Same with Westbrook. We need a central midfielder who can start now if need be, as Doyle is getting older in a higher division. As much as I like him and Kelly and they were instrumental in our season, if the...

    Transfer Rumours

Quite wish washy and anecdotal if I’m honest. Look, I’m not raising questions about his ability or potential per se. What I am doing is voicing my concern that I just can’t see where he fits in exactly as well as taking exception to the assertion that he is a ‘top player’. The reality of the...

How come you’re packing in the away days?!

    Transfer Rumours

Glad you’ve come in on this, looking at the players, it did seem the names were plucked out of thin air. With the exception of Dujon Sterling, which if the Chelsea source is to be believed (which a poster on here has vouched for) it is a done deal.

    Transfer Rumours

My logic is pretty easy to understand, a player who managed 4 goals, 3 assists in 36 games in a team that were lucky to avoid relegation can hardly be regarded as a ‘top player’ as you describe him. What would that even be based off? What you’ve read? What you’ve seen? He sounds like he played...

    Transfer Rumours

We’ve got a team stacked with youth and potential in midfield; Bayliss, Jones, Shipley and Allassani. If anything, we need a few more experienced L1 pros. If the lad is available on the cheap, then why not sign him, otherwise, I don’t see where he fits in nor do I he’s good enough for the top...

    Transfer Rumours

With all due respect, I’d hardly describe a player with 4 goals in 20 appearances for a team lucky to still be in L2 as a.’top player’. Fair enough, he was in a rubbish team and setup and he might have decent potential. Is Demebele better than what we have? Probably not. Jones last season was...

    Mark Robins on new signings

I’m excited to see how the squad and Starting XI shapes up. Personally, I reckon Robins will revert back to 4-2-3-1 and play on the counter — we’ve certainly got some quick personnel.

    We are thin up front

If there are any options out there that are better than what we’ve got, the. We should sign them. For me, JCH and McNulty are probably our best two options at this point, McNulty for obvious reason and JCH because his good form in his last full season in L1 (9 in 42ish for Oldham). Some good...

    Do you sense a change?

Everyone involved did a great job last year, top to bottom. The early signs of this window is a continuation of this, we've beaten other teams to signings and we're building a squad with players added to the U23s. I'm optimistic that we can finally challenge for L1 playoffs. I would be...
