Don’t disagree. However, I wouldn‘t want a refund playing some part in the demise of the club, rightly or wrongly. That’s the way I see it. I totally get the club’s owners have money but they don’t have the priceless emotional investment, do they?

Would definitely have away fans in the north stand, home fans wouldn’t have to negotiate their way through them after the match (an extra bulkhead would be needed inside the stadium around block 36 or 37 to segregate fans but would be worth it). I agree with the comment about safe standing in...

I think there is a very good chance the crowd could be zero, but knowing Wasps they will still say there were 9000 in attendance even though they aren’t playing today.

It does make me wonder how sustainable Rugby Union is as a sport in the U.K. There are pockets where there is a genuine stronghold of support, but whenever I have watched matches on the TV in the past few years, the general demographic seems to be middle-aged or older folk with fewer young...

A January bottom of the table clash would halve this number, I bet. They are now competing with Cov Rugby for attendances and I reckon there are still plenty of complementary Wasps tickets going around so Cov probably have more paying punters.

That makes sense, then. There must’ve been 20,000 people still queueing to get in.
