That's a totally ridiculous statement. That picture does not tell the true story in any sense. It was technically a very difficult ball to control and convert. It's very easy to criticise and mock without having a clue as to what it takes to get to the level those guys are at on the pitch.

I agree with every word of this. I think the hate though is mostly limited to a couple of the more 'controversial' posters on here - and thankfully they are not a reflection of our wider support.
