How many are calling for Pressley's head tonight?

I agree, but no denying the club are going about it completely the wrong way. Swindon should be the example for us on how to do it on a budget.

"Smaller" clubs now bigger than Coventry City.

We don't own our own stadium and get less than 10k attendances, sounds like an average L1 club to me. If we were a 'big' club we'd be getting 15k+ attendances like Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield Utd, Leicester, Norwich, Southampton, Leeds, Charlton, Nottingham Forest did in this league. We're...

    Webster's defending

Defence has been pretty solid lately but yesterday was back to the Coventry way, Martin and Webster just staring at each other whilst Williams nips between them to score the first. Third goal was embarrassing, Webster appears to trip over his own feet on the through ball. Then Martin lets the...

If this is true, SP has not only lost the dressing room, they're mocking him to.

May as well like, might as well do play where you like also. Can't be any worse than it is.

Haven't heard it but a few on here were talking about it last night

Apparently Madines interview with sky yesterday was interesting

If this is true, SP has not only lost the dressing room, they're mocking him to.

Wouldn't read too much into the U21 games, obviously we had a first team fixture and the U18s would have been preparing for FA cup on Wednesday so no surprise we struggled for numbers. Much more telling is the players clearly ignoring Pressley, someone within ear shot of Pressley should have...

What's the best Coventry City season you can remember ?

When we finished 8th in the championship, those were the good ol' days.

    Should pressley be sacked

Yes but not because of last night because His recruitment has been dreadful, failed to identify and address significant issues within the squad Has little idea on a set formation or system Plays players out of position constantly, last year we had Jordan Clarke at striker, CB, RB, Blair Adams...

    Swindon Match Thread

There are good players there to be had if you know what you are doing and what you are looking for, and by building links with premier leagues and getting a good reputation for playing good football and developing players your more likely to get the top players rather than the cast offs we...

3-5-2 - Are we now more suited to this formation?

Pressley was the one decided to change the formation during the middle of pre season and subsequently this dictated what positions we tried to strenghten

    Swindon Match Thread

Swindon should be the model for us, good links with Tottenham and other premier league clubs allowing them to loan in the best young talent and pick up those that don't quite make the grade at a premier league club. Recruit talent from the lower leagues, may require nominal transfer fees but...

3-5-2 - Are we now more suited to this formation?

No both wing backs are poor, basically Pressley fucked up the summer recruitment which means we now don't really suit any formation.
  15. SkyBlue_Bear83

Do the players have faith in Pressley?

Madine probably wanted a proper strike partner rather than the two playing just behind him

    How much did swindon spend?

Your certainly showing how to do it properly on a budget, good links with premier league club in getting loans for players looking for experience and picking up players who don't quite make the cut at that level and picking up some lower league talent for small transfer fees, mixed in with a few...

    Who Still Supports SISU?

Pretty much nobody, you may get the odd nut job like RFC but other than that I think almost everyone is against them. We're finished as a big club anyway, we will be languishing in the lower divisions for the next 20 years now.
  19. SkyBlue_Bear83

    SP inept

We will stay up despite the managers best efforts to take us down, tbh tonight was expected. Its his performance over the last 12 months which means he should go, not tonights match

    How much did swindon spend?

There wage bill is much lower than the Di Canio days I believe but there still showing ambition in the market whilst managing there budget effectively. They also sold a player for 1.4 million in the summer and got him loaned back for the season.
