    City on the Sofa ?

Not a league below actually, Cardiff Blues play in the pro 12 league with teams like Leinster, Ulster, Ospreys etc. it is a league consisting of teams from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Italy. It is considered one of the 3 major leagues along with the Aviva premiership and French league. Come on...

And you are looking at it as how you can make the most money for Wasps.

"I’d like to set the record straight"

Just checked the date, its 2 weeks old almost. We had a massive thread on it at the time, just perplexed as to why a new thread is being created about it just now  http://www.coventryobserver.co.uk/2015/01/25/news-Council-leader-Ann-Lucas-responds-to-our-investigation-125535.html

This is weeks old isn't it?

Details of Wasps' Ricoh Arena deal with council revealed

How is it a good deal, the current deal restricts us to being a L1 club or lower? How is that good? It's only good for Wasps who get 100k a year and take the majority of the revenues, I suppose you won't be happy until we are paying 5 million a year. Idiot syndrome?

With Lee Burge playing against Preston

Mcquoid, Allsop and Couilbaly are the only ones involved that day who are no longer with the club. Obviously Mcquoid and Allsop weren't banished as they played after the FA cup match, Coulibaly was an unused substitute that day and was sent back a few days after I believe.

Details of Wasps' Ricoh Arena deal with council revealed

If you can end up with a successful football club and a successful rugby within Coventry then I guess you could say economically it was a success or made sense. If it leads to either CCFC declining further or moving out of Coventry then the Rugby just replaces the contribution to local economy...

The Sky Blues trust needs to spearhead a takeover

Would they have the financial power to build a new stadium in Coventry(or near)? if not the club would just be left at the mercy of Wasps who could force the club into whatever they deal like as there would be no alternative.

Details of Wasps' Ricoh Arena deal with council revealed

Don't think so. Wasps attendances since they arrive 28k, 15k, 23k, 9k up from there average of about 6k, add onto that all the revenue take from the football there is no doubt that the club and the people of Coventry are subsidising what was a declining Rugby club. To make out its the Rugby club...

Details of Wasps' Ricoh Arena deal with council revealed

Fair enough, I know nothing about club Rugby. I expressed my scepticism when I was told it was verly likely Leinster would sell out and I was right, respectable attendance but not even close to a sell out and I'd think the same about this as well. I expect it would just be the 20k bandwagoners...

    Reda Out For A Month

Good player but is a waste of a wage an a squad place because he's injured 60% of the time. I'd get rid in the summer unless he would take a pay as you play deal or a deal with a low basic wage and high appearance bonuses

Details of Wasps' Ricoh Arena deal with council revealed

Would it really sell out twice over? The Leinster game was described as a champions league match vs Real Madrid in a winner takes all scenario and an expected sell out by a Wasps fans on here and it was nowhere close to a sell out even with a fairly big Irish following.

    Clarke Carlisle

A few days before the suicide attempt, he was charged with a drink driving offence. Hope he gets the help he needs, was a little surprised to see him talking about it and giving interviews so soon after it happened.

Details of Wasps' Ricoh Arena deal with council revealed

I suspect Wasps will be relying on CCFC and its supporters to subsidise them and many of our fans will be happy about it.

    Carl Baker

Bakers performances in L1 for us have been miles better than O'Briens for us, although difficult to say who is the better player as Baker was playing in a team that was playing decent under Robins and at the beginning of last season under Pressley whereas O'Brien has been part of an...

Pick your first 11 (everyone is fit)

Bartons done quite well when he's played this season, I don't really think he has much of a future here long term but it was definitely harsh on him being dropped.

    Sleeping Giants?...........perhaps not

Because its bull, we better them in every category other than major trophies finals Luton have one League cup winner, one runner up league cup and one runner up FA Cup. We have one FA Cup winner, there is no difference in weighting between the two competitions so there two runner up medals are...

    Sleeping Giants?...........perhaps not

It hasn't because they are only using the current season average, so sixfields attendances are not relevant. Like I just said using there scoring system we'd have been one of the smallest clubs in the football league had they done it 12 months ago.
  19. SkyBlue_Bear83

    Sleeping Giants?...........perhaps not

Its a bit rubbish tbh, it only uses current attendances so by there reasoning last season we would have been one of the smallest clubs in the country. Then there is no weighting about the time zone they won there trophies or were in the top flight, example teams like Preston are boosted by 41...

    Adam Armstrong

We will probably sign him and still play 1 striker despite having about 8 at the club
