    Fan owned club

I just don't like this idea of us all but taking over another club that is in a completely different town. Isn't that what Sisu are doing at the moment, taking Coventry City to a different venue away from its home? :thinking about:

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

But that wouldn't make any statement to Sisu and CCFC would it? 3,000 at the Ricoh for a game to watch whoever would make a clear statement to the owners.

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Isn't that kind of like the whole point? If the stadium is free and available it would give them chance to play on a big stage and for disenfranchised City fans the chance to watch some football.

Can't see them playing elsewhere, can you? ;)

    Fan owned club

I've always been in favour, as long as CCFC no longer exist. If CCFC now play at Northampton for for 3 years plus, it will almost be like them not existing anymore anyway in many ways. See no problem with starting a phoenix club and then if new owners of the City come in, merging the two into...

    Speedway Stadium Land

Traffic would be totally gridlocked. Cannot see this getting past the application stage.

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Or 'Home from home.' Double meaning then. Both 'home' and away from this so called 'new home.'

If the Football League block the ground-share..,

A deal will have to be struck between Sisu and ACL.

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Good positive thread all round. Nice to see something positive for a change. I'm up for it. If it could gather momentum and thousands turned up it would be quite embarrassing for Sisu and would I'm sure get as much press as the game itself.

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Yep. They've all been a bit of a wash out.
  11. Otis

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Well my idea was to have the City on our radios listening to the game at the same time. You could even have Sphinx kicking off early, at say 2 p.m. Not saying we should support someone else instead of City, just that if we are going up the Rioch anyway and the stadium is empty, it would be...

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Good point. You're not prepared to travel so will travel to show that you won't travel.;)
  13. Otis

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Would be great all round. We would get to watch some footie, Sphinx would have their coffers filled and have a chance for their players to play on a big stage for a season and it would keep the Ricoh in the spotlight and the stay away fans united.
  14. Otis

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Would be even better if ACL let say Cov Sphinx play there for nothing for a season and we got bigger crowds than the attendance at Sixfields. That would be very embarrassing for the club. Not saying it's feasible, but that would certainly get the publicity and coverage.

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

Tis a good idea, but does need the numbers to have any effect.
  16. Otis

So, you'd rather go to the ricoh?

I think it would only get publicity if it was as big as the Northampton crowd, and am not convinced you would get that though. If only a couple of hundred turned up it would totally backfire.
  17. Otis

Will People Cave In And Still Go And Watch City At Northampton?

Trouble is, just think how we're all going to feel after a minimum of 3 years away. We could all feel totally disenfranchised from the club by then and not even interested anymore.

    "Sky Blue Taliban"

What a terrible ambassador for those who want to go to Northampton and support the club. He came across as a complete plum.
  19. Otis

    Ground Share Opinion.

You can see why. Just had two on and they came across as right plums. Sky Blue Taliban and totally incorrect facts and figures. And I see no-one telling people they can't go. If people want to go of course they can go. People are just arguing that they shouldn't go and that is something...
