    Jamie ‘Wonderman’ Allen

That’s where he played yesterday… I’ve always liked Allen’s energy, but last season he wasn’t getting goals or assists and if he can improve this, he’ll be worth keeping around - for sure!

Agreed, I think there are attributes to be developed there! His performances are not great though. I don’t think it’s a faith issue - last season MR would’ve started Pask rather than DaCosta. Probably a falling out.

DaCosta didn’t do much right in either of the last two games I’ve watch him. However, he is quite good at winning the ball high up, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he was instructed to be that high up. Dabo has the pace to cover him. I took my mate to the game today and he’s never seen him play...

    Renaissance at Coventry

It seemed like a renaissance in League 1, that’s how good we’ve been under Robins. We overcame a lot last season and survived comfortably. This season, we look a lot better and we look like a club on the up. I’m hoping that our attendances are further buoyed by our results and more people being...

Funny how they weren’t complaining about the time being past the minimum amount of stoppage time when they had the corner (and probably their best chance of the half). They defended the clearance very poorly and the referee couldn’t justifiably call time on the game there.

We’ve got off to a really good start! Controlled every game and frankly, we should be beating teams more convincingly.

    matty James

Someone like Matty James was a v good fit for us - better than Walsh, anyway. Would Walsh start ahead of Hamer? Or would we play the two together? I’d say probably not to both questions.

    matty James

Signing Walsh right after his loan spell would’ve been a great. Even this summer, I weren’t 100% sold on it despite liking him as a player. Personally, I’d have rather signed James than Walsh given the choice this preseason. I still think we need someone with a bit of experience in CM despite...

1 for the stattos and one for the team

An improvement on last season for sure! Despite talk of being a 'weaker' team going into this season, we've looked a lot better than last season already! The quality of teams hasn't been the best, and against Blackpool we were lucky not to concede - the early signs have been promising!

    Man City 3rd kid

Agreed, the African cup of nations kits were really good! I like some of their international kits too. Club football, I think some Arsenal kits were alright. But, Adidas has since done a much better job.

Puma do some nice clothing, trainers and sportswear. But, their football kits are actually horrible.

Racist remark towards a coventry player

Out of curiosity, what % of people doing their FA/UEFA badges come from a ethnic minority background? All for inclusion and would like to see what the strategy is for engaging Asian communities too.

    Ben Sheaf Assist

Only time will tell, but judging from Robins’ comments, he still rates Kelly v highly and is probably still his first choice. That said, Sheaf is doing v well and if he keeps this up, he will definitely stake a claim. In our team, we definitely need one of Kelly or McFadz in the starting line...

    O’Hare

If he could get 10 goals and 10 assists a season, he’d be a Premier League player. Very classy on the ball and very good off the ball too! We’ve got a v good player who will grow with us (hopefully).

    Points performance vs last season

60 points is a doable target for this year. It was only our poor away form which held us back last season.
  17. Mucca Mad Boys

    We will be fine.

I’ve looked into this and Sheaf had some impressive stats. However, Kelly’s overall rating was better than Sheafs - 6.74 to 6.60 iirc. Sheaf had injuries to deal with last year so I’m hoping he can elevate his game that much more this season. I like him and think £750,000 could be v good value...

    Points performance vs last season

The last two season our first away win was around the Xmas period. Wycombe away in 2019/20 season and Millwall in 20/21. Which makes our start all the more encouraging because we’ve dominated both teams we’ve played away.
