I think he must have been benched for one of two reasons, a) he can't start 3 games in a week, b) Lampard thinks we need more defensively on that side and BTA can offer that.
If it is either of those, then it's the right decision.
Hear they're going to extend its capacity to 40k and stick a couple of chimneys on the top for no apparent reason.
Can't think where they got their inspiration.
Some of the players involved said the semi final did affect their end of season. I don't think they were using it as an excuse.
Though I agree, it doesn't mean cup run always does.
Games like that semi are once in a lifetime events
Can't stand it personally, it's dirge.
Though at least I haven't got it stuck in my head like that bloody north london forever shite sfter watching the Arsenal game
I agree. Luckily, all being well, we'd have a manager with EPL experience who knows what survival takes.
But to be honest, if Lampard decided, fuck it, let's go gung ho, I'd be alright with that.
If, big if, we go up, I think we'd need a massive change of philosophy to stay up.
Love the football we're seeing under Lampard, but we're not going to pull it off in the EPL.
