Yep seems pointless, surely in this context all contracts then have the option of a further year as you can negotiate to extend there contract.

No but surely there comes a point after all the initial hard work is done where you say a man of his coaching credentials and experience will be better utilised out on the training pitch and in the dugout.

Tough question, you could make a good case for all of Suarez, Robben, Ibra and maybe Neymar and 12 months ago Bale would have been up there as well.

Messi is better than Ronaldo for me, not massively better but not really close either.
