    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

We’ve had a v difficult start to the season with a new team. That’s promising. We’ve got a lot of players new to the Championship - only Lati & Simms from our signings. Even Simms hasn’t had much game time since last Feb. Our team is a few signings away and we’re in a better spot a lot of...

    We don't create enough

We’re having lots of shots, but the only clear cut chance we had was Wright’s chance when Ayari put him through. I think Simms 1st half chance was also a similar situation. Ironically, it seems that we created the most big chances against Leicester and it’s the only game we’ve lost. We miss...

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 26th Aug

Decent result, the game got to a place where either team could’ve pinched it. Performance we were good, just lacking the final touch and we’re struggling to advance the ball to our strikers. That Hamer replacement is duly needed.

We look good today and fancy is for the win, our strong bench should make the difference and break the deadlock. 1-0, Simms or Wright to score.

Yes and you just have to make do. If we have to patient, then so be it. This is being billed as a 5 year process rather than a 1-2 year one. We’ve got COH and Allen to come back which will strengthen the overall squad. A lot of teams fall blunder into making signings to fill a gap rather than...

    Transfer targets

I’d rather get in 1-2 players than the 3 quoted if they’re well vetted players who will fit in with the culture and tactical style we play. Too many clubs make the mistake of panicking when they lose a key player. If Barnsley were trying to take the piss with Kitching and Styles, we on to the...

    Mason Greenwood

With all due respect, that is all conjecture. It could be true, but these are assumptions that can't be verified. For obvious reasons, Greenwood brand is toxic after these allegations and I can't see how he plays football in England for very long time now. That said, in the eyes of law, he has...

    Transfer Rumour David Brekalo

Longer term, our trajectory is better than Luton’s - at least until they’ve paid off their stadium. Apparently that’s what Luton will be spending their PL money on. A sensible allocation of funds too to be fair.

Other people who were willing to commit could have also benefitted from cheap tickets - that’s the point. I find it ironic that you’re all for exclusivity of the away points system on the grounds of commitment - very valid argument that I agree with you on now, btw. Yet, accessibility to cheap...

No, but I pay for my brother’s season tickets who is a concession. I did not want to pay for £1,000 for two PL packages, so got our STs in the family zone. I’m moving down to London and my brother plays rugby most Saturday’s - we signed up nonetheless despite potentially missing a few games.

Exactly, you’re not running a football club spending millions on players with a stated aim of getting to the premiership. From the clubs perspective, there was apparently evidence of people abusing the previous pricing regime that was relatively more generous to concessions. Therefore, they’ve...

How does that impact revenue? If the revenue was higher with the rip off prices, with less attendance, then the club has achieved what it set out to. I do feel for away fans on this because they don’t have cheaper bulk alternatives to go on. The pricing, in fairness, seems to assumes that the...

If we’ve capped them at 18,500, would that have changed? Perhaps we would’ve sold out the PL packages and the 18,500 sooner.

    Sunderland crowd..

I’m not convinced that the pricing is impacting attendances outside of individual circumstances/anecdotes to be honest. Realistically, how many more people would come to games? At 18,500 ST holders, the lowest attendance we’ll see this season will be 19-20,000? Our season ticket pricing was...

We’ve hedged our bets on the season tickets. At this stage, I don’t think we have much core support past the 18,500 or so ST we’ve sold already. Now, only success and big games will draw more support. We do need a match package offering to cater to fans who can commit to a few games but not all.

    Transfer Rumour Yasin Ayari

The two older men stood behind me said ‘get your stats up lads’ in a mocking tone whenever our players - particularly Eccles and Sheaf - passed the ball backwards and sideways. We were the most direct team in the league last season and v Leicester…
