Someone has just made the point that work event or party is irrelevant. At the time they happened neither were allowed under the rules. The defence Boris seems to be using is that they were work events. It’s not really a defence at all.

So at these work events people were drinking until they were sick, fighting, people been kicked out of No.10 at 3am only to carry on in the garden. Oh. And some of the work events went on past 4am.

I think this is a really important point. If people including Tory MP’s are genuinely concerned about the cost of living, Ukraine etc. don’t go out and promote the distraction from that, actively remove that distraction
