    Victor Torp

I think that puts it in a nutshell. Let’s give him a chance if and when he is playing in a position that suits him.

    Kasey Palmer

We all know that Kasey is inconsistent. He can be brilliant one moment and turn games in our favour and then make a silly mistake. I think his positive attributes outweigh his negative ones. One thing is certain : if he could consistently play at his best for 90 minutes he wouldn’t be our...

    Summer transfer window 2024

I thought it was the old 2-3-5 formation: Goalkeeper 1 Right Back 2 Left Back 3 Right Half 4 Centre Half 5 Left Half 6 Right Wing 7 Inside Right 8 Centre Forward 9 Inside Left 10 Left Wing 11 No substitutes. The ball was made of leather, weighed about half a ton when wet and was tied up with...

After the way we played yesterday it would be difficult for anyone to complain if we dropped most of those who started against Bristol. ☹️

That sounds great. My wife sings in several choirs. She was singing the services at St Paul’s cathedral last weekend with Leicester Church Music Consort. They are doing Worcester and York Minster next year 😊

So am I. I just hope that we fans are patient with him. He’s young and has just moved to a new club in a (to him) foreign country. There is a lot for him to get accustomed to, including our style of play. We need to let him settle and not get on his back if he doesn’t perform like Lionel Messi...

I would love to agree with you but I can’t. The only other choice is MVE and I can’t see MR starting him against Oxford. It has to be Lati or Eccles and for the reason I gave above I would prefer that it be Eccles.

I doubt if he will play such a strong team as that, as I’m sure he will want to rest quite a few of the first choices. They will be available from the bench if required.

I don’t think you will be too far off with that team @procdoc My only thought, given that Lati played quite well yesterday, is whether MR will want to rest him. We are short of an obvious replacement at RB, so it would probably have to be Eccles as he has played there before. I guess that...

    Viktor Moving on

Thank goodness! No doubt we all welcome investment in the playing staff and club facilities but I don’t want anyone gambling with its future. We have had enough of that in the past and the two administrations nearly finished us off. The early signs are that with DK we have had the best owner...

    Championship thread 24/25!

The Blades fans didn’t rate him today. The local press gave him 5 and Hamer 6. Both were substituted. It’s only one game and we have seen both of them play extremely well for us. I do feel that, out of the two of them, Hamer is much the better player and the one we miss the most.

    Transfer Rumour Norman Bassette

Spot on. The need for a CM is even more pressing than for a CB.

    Kasey Palmer

I think that, until Sheaf returns, we should play Rudoni in the holding role in place of Torp and start Palmer in the more forward/creative role. Things were certainly better today when we tried that.

I think Gykores will move, probably to Arsenal, in this transfer window. The problem for us may be that it happens so late that there is insufficient time for us to spend the money on the players we need.

    Ellis Simms

Clearly Simms didn’t get any service today. I think that it was mainly due to a poor display by our midfielders but it may in part have been that Simms wasn’t making the right runs into space. Whatever the reason we weren’t a threat up front and it was fair enough for Robins to try something...

That’s a good point. They are both decent players but as today showed it’s not working with them together.

Above is the comment I made at half time. This is why I think Palmer is a useful asset for us. He can be frustrating and inconsistent but he can also produce, as he did today, one of those moments that can change a game.
