Gyokeres is playing levels above Simms & Wright but I wouldn’t discount either of the two developing further.
Gyokeres got 23 in all competitions last season so let’s just appreciate that Simms & Wright both have 16 with enough to match that tally.
I don’t think @shmmeee is much older than me and I wasn’t around in 92.
Simms and Wright is the best pair of strikers I’ve seen play for Cov.
Gyokeres and Hamer still the best two I’ve seen for City in my relatively short time as a supporter.
Simms and Wright are 3 goals away from surpassing Gyokeres’ monster performance in goal involvements (goals & assists) from last season.
It’s an area that we’ve statistically improved which was no easy feat.
Which reads that we recruited to play 3-4-1-2, no?
Having read that whole article, Adi did mention that the natural evolution would be to move to 4 at the back. We j
It was the same in L1 when we moved from 4-3-3, we had trained and prepared to play 3-4-2-1 in preseason.
Which is great...
I don’t think COH is out of form per se, Palmer is just performing better. Without sounding to critique COH, his goal scoring run was out of the norm for his career (to date).
I doubt that he’s downed tools, Palmer is playing better than him atm.
There was a strange comment from a text into CWR saying they - in the their infinite wisdom - have question marks about MR’s game management… 😂
We won 3-1 with a stoppage time goal.
I’ve cancelled my plans to go to this game - I set off from Maidenhead at 10:00 and my ETA is 15:45 and I’m not even on the M1 yet.
The traffic is horrendous.
There’s got to be some rationale to it. My assumption would be that after STHs, how many non-STHs do we have above 50 points? That number must be below 34,000.
U18 would include 18 year olds too I think. My brother has an U18 ST but turned 18 after the season started.
You’ll be fine unless this lad had a tough paper round and looks 30.
It was better, but taking out Kane, Saka and Bellingham and we really do goals in the team. I want to see Foden score more for England because he’s a fine player, I just think Rashford is potentially better fit if he’s on form.
Mainoo is a talent and is certainly the future in that CM role. He’s played 20 professional games and it’s a risk to rely on him. Henderson offers value as a 3rd or 4th choice CM because of his experience and leadership qualities. Look at our experience with Kelly, he’s a valuable squad player...
