Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It does not come from taxation, no public spending is funded by taxation. I think we're at cross purposes on the second point. My point is a general one that encouraging the population to become heavily indebted is ridiculous and benefits nobody. It's dreadful for the real economy as it just...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Taxpayers fund nothing. Why on earth should people be encouraged to take out a massive loan? Who's interest is that really in?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The problem is that successive governments (including the last Labour government unfortunately) have supported all of the conditions which lead to property price inflation, leading to rent seeking, speculation etc. I just don't think under the current system any party is willing to do mass...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There is no such thing as tax payers money. Not wishing to defend the Tories but the £11bn loss should in theory be a gain for people with bank deposits.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The UK needs to get out the idea that you need to own a house, as the idea is mostly driven by the idea that you need it as an investment.

    Next year Season tickets

Their slow decline over the seasons since their relegation from the top flight has been similar to ours, a succession of bottom third finishes leading to an inevitable relegation.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

LOL, RMT members are the also members of the public. The issues are all being driven by the government and she should have expressed support for the RMT workers (and everybody else) in the face of the cost of living crisis, instead of putting them in opposition.

    Banning Smoking

Not a fan of the proposal as can see the same being adopted for other vices. Less than 1 in 10 smoke now so it feels like all the other measures adopted are working.
