Latest CCFC letter on planning application - Planning Meeting

Losing 9,000 supporters for a season must have cost a lot, and the lost sponsorship, and supporters that haven't returned. At least you'd have a say in what the rent charge would be, pretty good negotiation tool owning 50% of the company compared to owning 0%, and we'd be benefitting from the...

Latest CCFC letter on planning application - Planning Meeting

I thought he meant they should have bought the Higgs share earlier, certainly would have been cheaper even at between £5.5m to £8m (even if deemed a higher price than anyone might pay) than the money we have lost moving around, with more rental costs to come in the future.

    Players we shouldn't have released

    Phillips rather than Clarke?

    Players we shouldn't have released

Yeah, I guess we didn't let him go as such as he would have taken the better offer anyway, maybe a lesson in getting players on longer contracts if they show promise, so at least we'd get a fee.

    Players we shouldn't have released

Maybe Moussa, it'll be interesting to see how he gets on at Walsall.

    Players we shouldn't have released

Jordan Clarke (he was free wasn't he).

Latest CCFC letter on planning application - Planning Meeting

I'd be surprised if the decision wasn't delayed whilst more answers are sought. General question - when the original planning was given were the Academy related requirements specified, it can't surely have specified Cat 2 requirements, so could they offer the bare minimum that could get the...

    Alternatives to the Higgs?

The land that Sphinx (and Cov Utd) play on is owned by Rolls Royce, apparently Sphinx just rent a year at a time (happy to be corrected if anyone knows better). 3 pitches already there, and other bits of land not really used.

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Slightly back on topic, there was a poster a while ago who seemed perfectly legit who said Wasps had bought the Severn Trent land adjoining Higgs, any ideas what that's all about in view of this planning application?

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Apologies Zack, go with the Captain and his link, my memory failed me. I'll leave the post as it is, otherwise your argument won't make any sense.

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

He can say he brokered whatever he wants (no evidence to say he did or didn't) but as the Council received the money they must have owned the land. The rest of the reply may have some merit.

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Could the Council have sold the land Tesco etc is on and just kept the money rather using it to build the stadium?

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Terms were agreed to buy back for £5.5m, it was sold for £6m (part cash, part write off of loans). Please let's not start the argument about the charitable donation though.:banghead:

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Well not "would" be met but "could" be met, but I presume that wasn't the point you're making. That's right, what would happen next June, that was the point of the meeting wasn't it, they aren't going to get things built before then I doubt.

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Pretty sure osb58 has said time and time again the club put in around £400k, and did then receive money for the 50% they sold.

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

ACL was a cash cow to the Council in the same way as CCFC is a cash cow to the ironically named Joy i.e. not a cash cow.

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

These are the quotes in the Telegraph from Anderson. Mr Anderson says the club have made CSF aware of those requirements and he won’t meet them until they have confirmed those conditions can be met. He told the Telegraph: “CSF haven’t confirmed to us what we would need in relation to how many...

Maybe they can't, that meeting would take even less time.

    Formal Planning Objection from CCFC

Maybe they have more important things to be getting on with, if the clubs owners aren't interested why waste time on it.
