They will still be saleable but we will get less for them than we hoped and I doubt if many - indeed any - will end up in the promised land of the Premiership. That’s why I think we will be shopping at Poundland for League 1 players, unless we can do good deals with clubs overseas.

I guess the simple answer is that, provided we stay up, we will be attractive to good players at League 1 teams for whom it will be a step up. Whether that is what we need is another matter altogether. My concern is that we just end up building a very good League 1 team.
