    The magical months

Made a comment on another thread, what works in September doesn't necessarily work in January for a host of reasons. Think you've hilighted several of them.

But you're exaggerating for effect. KKH and Yang, don't know what's going on there. So questions about those 2. Esse starting. Onyeka, just through the door. Markelo -think that's for the future. Wolfenden - couldn't displace Thomas or Kitching as they were playing well, that may change now...

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

4 arrived in Jan, 1 a couple of days ago and 1 has been playing regularly. The only really strange one is KKH, no idea what's gone on there. And none of that detracts from the fact that Bamford could well have been a useful addition who was actually in the door at the club.

It wouldn't have done any harm would it? And Haji has had 2 or 3 good games in the last 3 months so it's hardly a reaction to 1 game.

Going to miss 2 to 3 weeks, I'd have taken that in exchange for the 6 goals in 13 games he's scored.

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

So you think he's an elite tactician?

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

Don't agree. It wasn't just the result, the performance was really poor foe a top of the table team.

Not as much as his decision not to sign Bamford.

Unfortunately the mentality of people on this forum is fucking irrelevant compared to that of the playing squad.

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

It's a similar scenario to what we often had under Robins. A satisfactory points tally but given the way the points were gained it's caused a huge reaction among the support. If either man had gained the points more steadily over the season rather than veering from relegation form to autos form...

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

Let's be honest, the 'elite tactician' nonsense was spouted by loud bell ends on here. Elite tacticians don't operate in the championship, certainly not on their 4th or 5th manergerial job. But he still done a pretty good job and may still get us up, but it's been a tough watch since December.

Don't agree with the booing but you blame booing at the end of a game for the total failure to turn all that possesion into more than a couple of meaningful chances?

No way we'll get the money people think we will. He's a 2 -3 mil pound player max

He definitely showed some effort that's been missing when I've criticised him before. But he was shocking. Missed 2 sitters

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford United Match Thread - Saturday 7th Feb

Yeah, but we won 2 out of 3, not 2 out of the last 3, 2 out of the 3 before that!

He got involved and battled, showed a bit of aggression which isn't always a given with him, but was just poor. Not signing Bamford is looking like a massive mistake
