Preston had a wealthy owner, can't remember his name but he passed away last year. He was regularly issuing new shares to himself to help pay the club's way

Why should we be Rotherham though? They’ve spent most of their history in the lower two leagues, their all time average gate is 7.5k compared with ours at more than twice that (17k)

So instead of addressing the issue the owners think high interest short term loans are in the best interests of the club?

But that again is the club's fault - the owners decide to run it as a very lean operation which outsources functions, they've outsourced ticket administration to make a saving (yay!) but not considered the cashflow (boo!)
Why do they bother pushing season ticket sales? Might as well push the price of matchday tickets right down and just have people buy tickets game by game. Charge a membership fee for priority only.
The market is exactly what you'd expect where you impose market ideals on a natural monopoly, likewise all other privatised public services

They've not invested any money whatsoever, any uptick in commercial revenue is purely down to improved on pitch performance

And they've got no ideas or no inclination to invest in the infrastructure to increase those revenues, i bet our earnings per person based on average gates is the worst in the league
