You're wrong, Murphy and Christie didn't sign pre contracts with any other club though. You could get agents in your ear telling advising them to see out there contract as they can get them a better deal in the summer but you can't make any sort of agreement.

Just for transparency I think I was the one who first publicly outed Italiahorse as profiting from car parking by using his stables. I was informed of it by another user on here and got bored of the foreplay with everyone posting thinly veiled hints about it.

I think this is right, conflict of interests if say O'Brien signed a pre contract with Sheffield United. Can only sign a pre contract after the season is finished I think when you have like a month remaining on the contract.
