I have no idea whether he is still up to it or would fit the way we play but if Lampard wants him then I could see him coming in on loan with us paying just a part - probably quite a small part - of his wages. Personally I don’t think it will happen.

That's total tosh old chap 😊 As I said, we're not getting five players in on loan - which is the point I was replying to - because the parent clubs will want them to be getting regular game time. That means changing half of our outfield players. It's not happening.

I can't see us getting that many loans in during the January window. The parent clubs will want their players to get plenty of game time and I think we only need, at most, 1-2 starters plus 1-2 squad players. I wouldn't want to disrupt the team with too many starters if we are still running...
