How was Thorn at fault today?

Were more inept in giving him the job and keeping him in it well past the time he should have been gone. Maybe they're learning, Thorn didn't.

Adieu, Adieu, Parting is such sweet sorrow

At least the "football man" Ranson won't be appointing the manager this time, so more chance of getting somebody decent.

    james mckpake tweet

He wasn't a particularly good defender when fit, which wasn't often. Whilst never thought that Thorn was a particularly good manager, and, though belated, the right decision has been made to sack him, wouldn't use any "tweets" from McPake as a weapon to beat him around the head with.

How was Thorn at fault today?

So you agree that it isn't the players who take praise or blame for any of the game then? Makes your previous thread( unfortunately not Thorn), redundant then.

How was Thorn at fault today?

Thought it was obvious, Thorn the manager for the whole game, so credit for first half, debit for second. Not apportioning praise or blame to different people/ groups to make a stance appear better.

    Thorn sacked tonight

As I've said before, the only times we haven't opened the revolving door everybody gets so excited about on an underperforming manager, we've got relegated .

How was Thorn at fault today?

Earlier you started a thread stating the players were at fault for the second half. Is Thorn only responsible for good periods and the players for anything bad? Surely overall responsibility(good or bad) lies with the manager?

    Bury Matchday Thread

No you didn't, you made that judgement with less than a third of the season gone. Whilst I didn't agree with your reasoning that only player budgets can be used to judge a manager, you have consistently made the point that it makes all the difference. In which case we should have beaten Bury...

    Bury Matchday Thread

We're 59 League games into Thorns reign. We have a much better wage budget than Yeovil and Bury and therefore should have beaten them according to the only criteria you used to judge the manager last season.
