well either he’s doing less because Eccles lets him, or he has to do more when Eccles is on the pitch too to cover him… either way it’s noticeable I think

and weirdly Sheaf has picked up now Eccles is off, maybe as he’s not being asked to do more with Torp on, and I’ve noticed that when Sheaf plays well the whole team seems to also pick up

Yeah it’s possible, he’s been slightly off the pace too the last few games in patches, even at the weekend for parts of the first half Point is, in my opinion, you can’t play both together and expect creativity - they aren’t the kind of player to turn it on like that

generally he’s an all round decent player but put him and Sheaf in the team together and we miss some creativity in there, they do the same or similar, the ‘boring stuff’ - fine when needed but you can see the spark is missing needs one or the other, and I would say Sheaf is the better player...

I wouldn’t be surprised - Torp for Eccles and Simms for Norm a bit later, but who knows…

why didn’t he find a pass - there were two players free for a simple pass to feet up the line or central, but he took an extra couple of seconds then played it straight in the air into touch - he’s a professional footballer, should be able to make a simple pass from there ‘mate’

no there are balanced views too, but a lot of negative - not sure why you’re picking a fight about this point, I haven’t mentioned you or even noticed if you’ve posted or not until now….

read back through the comments - negativity everywhere, doom and gloom from five minutes in and we’ve actually played pretty well

I can’t believe, well actually I completely can to be fair, the wetting of beds already with only 18 minutes gone of what has so far been a pretty decent performance against a top side do these people leave after we concede one to go home to cry into their hot cocoa?

I think we’ve looked good and matched them so far other than Lats is looking a bit shaky, but defensively looking tighter and we have looked dangerous on the counter too… hopefully Eccles now takes that mistake and grows into the game to put things right - I have a feeling he’ll score or set...

…because he has low level intelligence and can’t come up with anything to back up his nonsense so resorts to what he’s seen other people say on here thinking it will make him look good when really all he’s done is shown himself to be rather silly today
