The economic consensus is not in favour of more austerity, how out of touch can you be?

Public Enquiry into Sale to Wasps

The other point to make is that the council can reasonably state that regardless of what happened to Wasps there has been no loss of public funds, it was repaid the loan it made to ACL by virtue of the bond. It was able to agree assignment of the lease to a new owner following Wasps' demise. The...

    Does Fraser Group

They own the lease and don't owe anything as far as I'm aware. I'm assuming that for the first time since the stadium opened, ACL is not encumbered by paying back that original Yorkshire Bank loan or its successors, i.e. the council loan and then the bonds. It's good news.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Perpetuating the blackhole myth, genuinely not a hairs breadth between Labour and the Tories materially. I mean obviously how they 'fill' the alleged 'blackhole' could be different but I wouldn't bank on it, Mr "we're intensely relaxed with people being filthy rich" is back pulling the strings...

Public Enquiry into Sale to Wasps

I think a public inquiry would be a waste of money. Enough information about it has already been heard in court in JR2. From what I recall the sale was voted through unanimously by all parties on the council at the time.

    Capitalism- End Of

I'm not sure about UBI anymore but I prefer the idea of a job guarantee in the context of ignoring the rubbish about a sovereign currency issuer having a budget like a household.

What will the CBS look like

Bought an expensive jacket online from Cruise (the actual shop is in Glasgow) but the same shop effectively as Flannels (which used to be Cruise Flannels I think) a few years ago. My bank stopped the payment and phoned me cos it came up as Sports Direct.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The UK government does not really borrow money, it creates gilts to sell investments to the market. There is no reliance on selling bonds to fund spending it's just a choice.

    Doug King Takeover

This idea that Ashley needs to buy the stadium to sway council opinion on planning permission for a major economic development elsewhere in, in the current economic environment, is just nonsense. He's bought the stadium because he wanted to buy the stadium.

    Qatar World Cup 2022

I'm sorry but I believe the notion of spreading the sport to be based purely on marketing opportunities for large commercial enterprises not for football and basically the world cup should go between South America and Europe with 1 in 5 going elsewhere.
