I think that's the point. They want someone different, which is why Hamer may be allowed to leave.

It's been suggested that the Blades want him to replace Hamer. Hamer's departure would give them the transfer fee and free up a good chunk of wages. If we are to get him I think it would have to be as a loan with an option or obligation to buy on promotion.

One or two sites are still crediting us with interest in Frank Onyeka, although the Blades and Valencia also reportedly want him. I doubt we can compete on wages with either of those two, although we are clearly the best option in the short term if the player wants to play in the Premier League.
